I'm convinced the game has a higher chance of giving you a low healing increase when you are low on health. I just wasted the last 5 hours of my life trying to get this shit out of the way. Got to Round 44 3 times and lost each time to R Mika doing instant reaction bullshit air grabs. Just got to round 41 and was in a good position and the game disconnected. I don't know who checked this mode and thought it would be fun.

Where the fuck is all the cheat engine and trainers for SF5? I would jump on that in a heatbeat just to get this over with.

lol I went through the same thing man. I dunno if there is a cheat for Mika bro, I use Ken and spammed MP for Kens hell, but you still have to be careful with the random "hard fights". I'll give you my best tips, because I did normal and hard legit before I learned about the MP dp spam way.

1) keep your health high all the time! In the beginning double down on some of the buffs so your score triples and you have good points.

2) try to get some perfects, and then for the next round go defense, lets you make more mistakes.

3) search for a string the AI gets confused by. Most character have something that works universally. CPU is weak to xup even In 70's and 80's.

4) keep your ranking/casual match setting on, it can give you a restart if you have a bad round and lose too much health.

5) Even if you have 1/4 life and have full health available take the health unless is defense+3 or something. Always stay at full health.

In Gaming Community sub forum there is a stickied OT claiming/volunteer/help thread, you post claims in there with evidence of your intention. It's kind of first come first serve but there are rules about how it works :)
 
Ahhhh, the backroll is the quick-rise move from when you get knocked down. I thought that you could roll back from lying flat down on the floor, like you can do in Tekken.

Ken I imagine is a lot easier with his invincible reversal. It's a fucking nightmare with Karin. Trust me, I'm doing all the strats. I even have strats for specific characters. I've probably spent over 7 hours total on this so far. It's a goddamn nightmare.

Yeah, there are even people who managed to get to Gold League by just quitting before a loss. Capcom has said they're looking into it, but who knows how long it'll be until they fix this.
 
An OT2 isn't exactly happening anytime soon, I think. The game literally just came out a few days ago. Yeah, this thread has alotta responses but OT2 prolly isn't coming until the March update OR the update with the story mode later this year.

my friend is a really good Karin but I can deal with him. Your problems are probably related to Bison's general issues with getting all up in your face. Bison's V-trigger is so powerful I almost never use v-reversals...except against Karin. Keeping her at around teleport distance is how I started winning. When I did get knocked down jab into psycho ball was working well for me (it knocks people WAY back).

Get used to blocking her overhead move and its followup, it's punishable. Fight the CPU on 8 for a while, it LOVES using that move and a lot of Karins seem to rely heavily on it. St.HK seems to work great in general.

edit: derp, I read this as you wanting Bison tips, missed the last part. Oh well, if anyone is Bison having trouble with Karin...

Karin isn't really that strong. Most competitive players don't even have her top 5.

Nah, when you hit 400 pages/20k posts you do a new OT. GAF doesn't handle super large threads well.

Play the footsie game if you can. Bison is a turd at playing footsies. He has literally one good move, the st.mk, and that's slow. His walk speed is abysmal and all of his moves are relatively easy to predict.

Just keep your distance and fuck him up whenever he makes a mistake which he will.

and I just beat a bison on a 5 win streak, and got a titled called lifelong rival. I think I just learned the length of kens attacks to some degree and how to sometimes pull off a wake up shoryuken

I've been to versus a few times it's just a bit far for me. I live in south miami so. Theres arcade Odyssey were a couple locals play but versus is where it's at. Have fun!

Can i see the name of the last guy i played against on ranked match? i played against this guy (using necalli) who won and then i searched for another opponent and the next one turned out to be the same guy !! and i won and then he ragequit

This isn't true. I've played against plenty of people who didn't really have decent fundamentals. Many that couldn't even block a simple cross up, many that press buttons all the time, etc.

Lol yeah I'm not gunna use a shit title. One of the ones from the past few pages will probably be good as they'll be relevant to the current state of the game. :)

There's plenty of terrible people that love SF. Myself included.

Potentially more likely that all but the hardcore have thought "fuck it, I'll wait until the dust settles before diving in". Has been the case for me.

What's weird is I couldn't play online all-weekend...but during the last half of the WWE PPV last night, online started working flawlessly for me.

Scissors are like +3 in V-trigger, that's not really shenanigans, that allows him to place some pretty solid pressure where scissors and almost every button he presses becomes a deadly frametrap.

I guess you have to neutral jump or stuff it with a good normal.

Remember that every special done while in V-Trigger uses up a little bit of it. It would be utterly broken if his V-Trigger lasted for the round like Necalli's.

It does make him insanely good, I will admit. But it's still not something you can't deal with, given some knowledge and practice.

Same here. Tired of being stressed out on whether the player will disconnect or if the match results will even send to servers.
