Unreal how much I have fallen to pieces in the past 2 days. Cannot play for shit anymore. Just get charged into a corner by aggressive Ryu's and I cannot do anything without getting jabbed out of it or thrown. Seriously need a break I think, or else my pad is going through the wall. Balrog please be in April.

Maybe mostly scrub players play on weekends and only the true Fighting Game enthusiasts play during the week? ^_^
You know, cause it's a job...

I suck, doesn't mean claw off sucks.

Claw off mode is all I see high level players like Pr rog do. Doesn't even bother using the damn thing once it comes off early in a round.

Do as I say, not as I do. :P

I love claw off personally. Access to command grab and his MP>>HK target combo is great. Being able to combo into big damage of a properly hit flying barcelona is awesome as well.

God, Bisons EX jump stomp's hitbox is so goddamn stupid.

I jump over him after knocking him down, and RIGHT above him I do the freefall that Mika has, but somehow, he can still do his EX stomp move, come up under me while I'm in freefall overhead mode, and be the one that hits me? Bison please

Yep. I just don't see the benefits of claw on mode to be risking switching it on/off in a match.

I'd rather practice with claw off mode footsies and just imbed those ranges into my mind as the go to. That's all claw on mode helps with is some extra range on footsies that really don't lead to jack shit.

God, this is probably the game that has frustrated me most in recent times. And you know, I've clocked 900hours in Project CARS.

Today I have been unable to play because constant disconnects and the few matches that I've played were awfully laggy. Finally, the game starts to work, everything is flowing. I'm starting to play good, no worries about lag, just fighting, then the game crashes when I'm about to start my third match.

And you know what's the worst part? That I need my time to get used to things, to feel the flow. But I cannot feel a damn shit because my mind is praying please run fine, please run fine. And eventually, when everything's running fine and my mind is focusing in the fight, bam, you're out!

Yes, I lied, that's not the worst part. The worst part is that when the game runs fine and you're focused, it's godlike.

Well claw on is very good at helping keep rushdown types out as you whittle their life down and with how fast rounds are this time around it doesn't hurt to know how to play both styles based on matchups.

No Claw has more moves that cancel into specials and more normal link combos. Flying Barcelona does not knock down on hit, so you can combo from it as well.

Also a sweet command grab.

I'd have to see a pro do it to get the gist of it. Me doing it is free...

I'll have to find some good matches to show you. Claw is great in this game they did a really good job on updating him and making him interesting. Still kind of sad they didn't give him back scarlet terror or his flips.

Edit: Here is a claw mirror match with PR Balrog. Pretty decent match that is mostly claw on until it gets knocked off in the rounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7OO9UOgB94

Do you ever get this issue when playing offline? A friend of mine got framerate issues, so he tried playing in windowed mode, and when the framerate went down, he checked task manager and there was a process called "system memory and compressed memory" that used a lot of RAM.

I will mention that I don't really know about what he's doing here, so I cannot at all say how safe this is, but my friend did the virtual memory stuff that's being done in this video and it helped him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6pA97s28i4

Edit: Actually, my friend started having issues again today, so this might not have been the fix for his issues.

Thanks for the suggestion. Wanted to try it but it was already set correctly. I just hope they'll patch it. Now I'm thinking about getting the PS4 version as well, but having to create a new ID is just pffffffffff.

Did they ever release an official FANG movelist like the one here:

manual_eng_04.png

Looks like these were only for the betas, and he wasn't playable there. :(

I've seen a scan one floating around, but I need something in higher quality.

did anyone who bought a hori hrap4 get the one with the newer hayabusa (matte) buttons? looking for impressions to see if i want to try and exchange mine.

got the older model with kuro buttons and different side panel layout.

Im loving the character videos, its exactly the way they should teach you how to play the game in, well, THE GAME.

Like, shit like this is what actually helps a new player know what the fuck they should do

Theres several ways to teach a player about this stuff; Have an overlay in practice mode, particular zoning challenges in challenge mode, have a tutoring mechanism. if Capcom was actually serious about teaching people how to play SF they would go to these lengths, not the "press right to move right!" bullshit

Is anyone else getting a strange issue with connecting to the servers today? When I boot up SF it never says "Logging into Server", just hangs at the logo then says "Continuing in offline mode". No error message or anything. On PC btw

It's there a way to watch a replay of someone rage quits?

Had another 3 in a row and wanna show some friends

If they rage quit, the replay doesn't get saved. But if you're on PS4 and the match was within the last 15 minutes, you can just hit the share button and save the replay. That's what I've been doing (and shaming them on Youtube).

If you want to send a message to them to tell them they're punk-ass bitches, you must:
1) Watch the replay to get their fighter ID
2) Confirm they're on PS4 (if they are on PC, no dice)
3) Type in their name into CFN and view profile
4) Write down their Online ID
5) Go to PS4 messages and search their name
6) Message them

That's not so hard, now is it?

Thanks for the tips! Time to hit up the lab.

I really need to pay more attention to my opponents super meter. I ate so many critical arts.

You got a lot better with it, it was only in the first set that you were getting hit by them. It also forced me to throw them out a little wrecklessly in the second set. Normally I don't bother but I thought you might not have learnt, yet you adapted quickly.

Rashid's super is the strongest reversal in the game, I would say. Press anything and it beats it. Both on the ground, and in the air. It means that he can't be chipped out by supers unless they land on a true blockstring, which is neat.

Last thread I said they should somehow incorporate this into the game in a tutorial mode that plays this video in some sort of in game player much like how the replay system works. Once they have them all done I would like for them to visit my idea and see if it can be implemented somehow as I think it would be awesome for new players who don't regularly check the street fighter youtube account.

Oh, that looks good. I saw those videos coming out and expected them to be about as good as the character intros on the CPT youtube channel. I.E. not very good.

Really excited to return to SF V once my Hori RAP4 arrives today...Tried at launch with a controller and just can't do it...playing Alpha/2/3/4 with a stick has made this impossible. I look forward to relearning. I think I'll try Karin first and I want to learn a charge character like Bison. This games variation of him is so damn complete imo. I haven't played a charge character since Urien in 2nd assault so it'll be tough going. Although once Alex hits I will make him my main...Hope to see u guys out there soon!

I didn't even know the Street Fighter YouTube account was a thing until that that post you're quoting :(

At least I know now! Will watch during my commute.

It can be beat by things with projectile armor, I think. Necalli's EX dash special (Disc Guidance) beats it here.

He activated it before I activated super, so I don't know if it would've worked as a reversal to the super.

hitboxes are so weird in this game. hard to judge attack ranges sometimes because it looks like you are hitting the other character but it just whiffs on attacks.

limbs just seem artificially short.
