The wait isn't that long but I do think it should have been apparent from the start that this would be the case.
Windows 10
I mean... it's not just PC, it's Windows 10. That's what MS are going for, unity through Windows 10 no matter what platform. You play a game on one Win 10 platform, you continue playing on another. Buy a game on one, play it on another.
I think the best thing about this is that MS will be able to make more money off this to invest in more games. Quantum Break releasing fully on Windows 10 and not just the Xbone may single handily fund Alan Wake 2.
Xbox press event in SF with @xboxp3, news coming Tuesday.
I wonder if the embargo will be successful.

It's begun! By the way, since Phil Spencer got on charge Microsoft have been hearing fans fixing what was "wrong", so if They're really going to push Windows 10 Store for gaming even beyond just Quantum Break, i'm sure things like full screen, vsync off and Sli support will be added without many problems. Who knows, perhaps Phil was already announcing those features in that picture
No they won't because everyone already decided they won't. And everyone already decided that Microsoft's new attempt at PC gaming is GFWL2.0 and also that they don't really give a shit about the PC market. It's begun! Tuesday? Strange to push the embargo so far forward...

I'm really curious what the rationale is for it. Tuesdays are when games tend to release...Tuesday? Strange to push the embargo so far forward...
They're really trying to keep everything secret till Tuesday? What?
Anyway, my money is still on Halo MCC and Forza PC announcements.

That certainly is a way to sarcastically write off some actual legitimate concerns.
Firstannouncement from the event maybe? Seems like the store listing leaked early as it is unavailabe to download still.tiny

I'd argue that he's not writing off concerns or concerned people, he's writing off the guys who speak about these things with perfect certainty. The time machine types, who peered into the future and speak with great authority that none of that's ever getting fixed and MS is definitely going to screw everybody over.
There's legitimate concerns and then there's illegitimate and irrational ones. That certainly is a way to sarcastically write off some actual legitimate concerns.

I'm hoping it will be focussed on actual direction they are going with Windows10/Xbox integration, and not just a play session for new games. Have an actual briefing wouldn't really be required in that case. Suppose it isn't wise to hype the event up to something it isn't, announcements for new titles.
Here's hoping. Expect a flood of articles on Tuesday then.

That event looks....lifeless.
I guess the hyperbole of those people I speak about rubbed off on me.Yeah, you dont speak for everyone, so dont act like you do.
Are there currently any actual useful Windows 10 apps?
I think that picture is from Build Last year. Not a new announcement.
