Actually, the one place you're NEVER supposed to see rollbacks at all (no matter what kind of connection you have) is in the middle of a long combo. That's because whatever the person on the receiving end is doing is irrelevant; no matter what buttons he happens to press while he's in hitstun, nothing happens and the game never has to rewind anything to correct the outcome.

I just watched the rank 18 zangief player in a couple of ranked matches (forgot his name now that I closed it)
...he doesn't play zangief much differently than I do. Maybe I just need to play more lol
On another note:
Season Pass gets you the characters and the costumes right? which means if I buy it I can use my fight money for alt costumes on the current roster instead of having to choose?

He's pretty scary with her. I've been picking up a lot of helpful info on her from watching him play. He's about to fight a 6900 Rashid. Should be fun.

You have to be very aggressive against bison. He doesn't have any decent reversals and his antiairs are pretty situational so attack attack attack.
What an annoying response.
I'm using my ignore list more and more these days.

no chun li or zangief? List invalid. Honestly though there are lots of characters that have potential to be annoying. It's the players play style that is annoying in the end. At least that's what I think.

I can't even get mad at playing good Rashids or Mika's. They're fun to play against and Rashid players put in the work. Would rather play them than a Ken spamming heavy DP over and over, regardless of how much I punish it.
Never played a Laura or Geif online outside of the battle lounge though. Would really like a way to diversify who I keep getting matched with.
I only get annoyed when I lose to crap tactics and it's my own fault for losing. Losing to stuff like non stop Shyoruken spam or grab spam.
I tend to sit back and appreciate when I get trounced by some good play.
Alright, I'm done. I'm playing like garbage tonight, trying to catch back jumps with wingless airplane and do point-blank charged hks. Went down to Super Bronze, finally got this ugly victory to get back to Ultra Bronze. Gonna play when I'm not braindead.

I wouldn't go this far personally, though that's probably just my perspective on who she is replacing. After years of fighting crappy Blankas back in the SFIV days before they nerfed him to borderline uselessness, at least Laura is already a useless character. She's only annoying character-wise unlike Blanka who was completely unfun to fight and an annoying character.
Now F.A.N.G, on the other hand...
Actually, aside from Rashid, I don't really have much of an affinity for any of the new characters in V.

Holy shit do I have a long way to go. Been practicing in training room learning Karin's moves, felt pretty good so finally tried out survival to see how much I'd retain...
Immediately drew a blank on everything once an opponent could actually fight back.
I have a long journey ahead of me but this makes me more encouraged rather than depressed about learning how to play a fighting game.
I'm hoping in the next few weeks to actually try my hand against human opponents.

Any tips on how to make people stop pushing buttons with Mika? Instead of beeing afraid of me, when I am close, people tend to just shut me down with pushing better buttons. Vega is a good example of this as he feels like he can push pretty much any button close up without Mika really beeing able to do much about it.

Also I hope they add in a 3 vs 3 mode, I still have a soft spot for SF vs SNK 2. I like how that style forces you to learn multiple characters.

Save you hope for CvS3! I don't think they'll do the 3 chars. team based thing for SFV, perhaps a Dramatic Battle but I don't even see that happening.

After losing close to 15 rounds in a row, it feels good to win again! hopefully it is not the last. It is so odd to almost win against a high Rank Ryu but losing to Lower rank people. I noticed that a lot of very decent players are showing up on lower ranks.
Sounds as likely as MVC4

DING DING DING! I WON THIS ROUND! Switched her to Japanese VO as soon as I tried survival mode. My god. And story-wise, she's basically South American Elena, just fighting to meet people and have fun. Super dull.
That being said, I actually really like her gameplay-wise and have made her my secondary character online (sorry Birdie!). She might also be the reason I finally spend money on an alternate costume (if they ever decide to give her something non-skanky). Can't believe her story mode outfit was even worse than the default.
