This is something I'll read up on more myself since I don't want to drag the thread into politics discussion, but can someone point me in the direction of what the Canadian Liberal Party's policies actually are? Mainly since I can't figure out if this is just the same thing as in America where "liberal" means anything at all left-wing and not authoritarian or if they are an actual liberal party, like the Lib Dems over here.

From my limited understanding they're a slightly left leaning centrist party.
Conservative Party Canada is the right wing party, Liberals are the centrists, and New Democratic Party is the left wing social democratic party.
