Why would people want to artificially inflate their LP? Leagues are there to protect from the guys that will destroy you.

Exactly. LP are for matchmaking. Not to mention it's childish.

Shame some folks here are among those ruining the experience for others.

I don't remember who it was, but he were training the same combo as me, just with one change. This is my combo with Ken:

jump in HK then b+mp,hp HK tatsumaki

Was it the jump in HK, I should change to jump in MP?

They seem pretty stable now... Laggy maybe, but stable.
I honestly haven't seen a legit looking disconnect since last Saturday.

I had two last night that happened middle of first round when that person was winning. So no rage quit there. Especially the first as it was the third straight match in casual against the same guy, and he'd won the both the first two in two rounds.

But yes, they're much better so hopefully they get some penalty in place for RQs, or at least give the person who didn't quit a win, the LP and FM, if they want to hold off on penalizing disconnections until they thing the servers are good to go.

Anyone got tips for Mika Hard/Hell mode survival? I don't feel like wasting my time trying to find cheap stuff the AI looses to when you folks have done the job already. Anyone?

Just shows that those people eventually won't last long playing Ranked when it's fixed.
LP won't mean shit by that time since they'll be losing for real. Even if they do this shit now, they'll regret it later and hopefully stay away from the game or think about how they should just... play the game and get better.

jump in HK, c.MP, back+MP~HP, HK tatsu.

Should note the c.MP into target combo whiffs on some crouching characters

I'm watching this laura on the cannes stream, and didn't see her do the arm wave thing on any grab.
Did they take that out or is it a special grab?

My main is ken but it seems everyone hates ken players:( why?

Is getting a fightstick a valid way to improve input issues? That is my current biggest gripe. I don't really care that much about losing, I do, however, care when I mess up something I want to do. Will getting a fightstick at least eventually alleviate some of those issues?

Currently using an Xbox One Elite Controller if that says anything.

Not a 100% guarantee, depends on your preference really. If you can try out a stick it'd be a nice way to say if you prefer it over a pad.

Only if you're comfortable using one. Not everybody uses a stick, it's hard to tell you until you try it out. You might end up hating it all together.

SMH at the mentality of RQers in general, as exemplified by the ones exposed here. I find it equal parts hilarious and depressing reading their excuses, knowing they actually believe it, and trying to laugh it off and continue being part of the general SFV discussion and community here.

You may have avoided the L in those games you quit on; but you have not, and will never avoid the L tag that will be forever associated with you for these RQs.

Someone mentioned earlier that we want to build a community here and not turn people away; that's true, but if they are bad apples we should turn them away; we want to build a healthy community after all. So, LnW, Shimmy et al - please just stop with the excuses and stop trying to participate; people here won't just forget about it. It's not okay to "admit" to being wrong if you immediately follow it up with your reasoning and excuse. It's wrong. You're wrong. Period. No excuse. If you can't grasp that - be on your way.
i can get behind this. Strong but stern discipline.

Btw, one thing Capcom did right was implement the replay system. Now you can watch people like Alex Valle or Momochi show off there tech and skill because a bunch of their matches are recoded in the profile. Really, all the tools in place are here for all sorts of skill levels to advance.

not sure what ppl were expecting from trial mode. like a full on tutorial for each character? has any game every done that sort of thing? a few specific trials each that teach you ways to use v trigger and skill would be nice.

hope they give you FM for completing lol

Um, Street Fighter IV did pretty much that ;)

It's just preference. I got my first stick (Chun Li TE2) about 3 weeks ago and it pretty much instantly improved my execution after a couple days of getting used to the buttons etc. Other's do better with pads, and in that case I'd look into getting a six button pad like the Hori Fighting Commander.

Did anyone else notice their PS4 starting to take off on the match result screen? I think that screen is framerate uncapped or something!

Silly question and forgive me while asking. I started playing USF4 last August 2015 and my highest pp was 1500. I've been playing SFV beta when it comes out and today my highest is Ultra Bronze. Of course I'm losing and winning and its 50/50. Is that normal or should I be higher than my current standing? Can I be really good and be a huge threat in major tournaments in time if I keep playing and practicing? I feel like I'm doubting myself. Sorry to ask.

SURE YOURE KEN!

Hey your Rashid is pretty solid. I think people hate him too. Fast characters that have good recovery moves are hated in general :P
I love Ken but I gotta admit it is painful to fight him a lot.

Yea, people always hate speedy mix up characters with good normals. Part of reason Elf was hated so much (and his 50/50 bullshit). You just gotta ignore the haters and play who you wanna play.

Dood, just stop. Start enjoying the game.

Ugh I fucking hate facing gief because you never feel like you're going anywhere. That health is insane. I put in enough offense to take out 2 matches against anyone else but this dude still has bar.

Look at 40s, she does the ex version there too but there is no arm wave.

There different outcomes after the EX elbow depending on what button you press, similar to how Mika have 2 different command throws depending if I use punch or kick

Edit - Ryu has some fucking dumb normals, shit that looks like it never in a million years should be safe on block but seems to be
