How do you guys for PC read your fps? I've turned it on through steam and it sets at 59-61 usually (during the match) with medium setting and post process turned low. Dropping as low as 57-58. Which options are resource hogs and can turn down without making too ugly? It is suppose to set at 60 fps?

I was wondering how playing against a person with sub-min. requirements affected their experience. My cpu speed isn't quite there and I just ordered 16gb of pc3 10666 cas7 for the heck of it. I've had smooth matches and then bad matches probably from our connection. I search for 5bars lately.

I just don't want to be ruining others experience and my own by turning all gfx down. I know the pc is old ; though the game feels pretty good at these settings. What settings would ps4 be compared to the pc settings?

Athlon II X3 445 3.1 GHz - unlocked 4th core
ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO bios 2004
SPARKLE Calibre GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB
G.SKILL Ripjaws (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit (blue color) cas8
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"
FirePower ModXStream Pro 700W 80Plus Semi-Modular High Performance ATX PC PSU

Just adjust, blaming the tool is nonsense.

<_< Pad play for me is like playing a FPS with only 1 stick. Yeah I can do it, but I'm leaving a LOT off the table.

Best example was GG Xrd. On pad my Potemkin was fine, but I could NOT do his cancels into scoops for pump fake pressure. On stick? Got it first try no problem.

Same with FADC cancels for SF4. No way on pad, then easily on stick.

Blaming the tool is not nonsense if you can't do something on one format versus another.

If anyone is up for some casual games I made a fight launge. Names genonic. No password as it won't let me type one for some reason .

I play mika and am in the uk

Damn man how the hell does Art have 8000 LP!? At that point you can't lose a match without losing 100+ points.

LP is just like the PP system. I hate it.

It's hard for me to pick a main. As a former Thawk player, who would you recommend? I'm switching between Zangief, Birdie, Mika and Necalli now.

Former T. Hawk main here. Going with Ken for now until I see how Alex / Urien play, but I would suggest trying Laura. I tried her in the betas and had a blast. Her v-skill dash and forward moving shoulder moves combined her command grab make her feel similar to T. Hawk movement wise / pressure wise.

Had a weird one earlier. Ranked match, guy wins first round. Second round starts and I realise that he's not moving at all. Kick his stationary ass because I don't know what he's playing at. Third round, I hit him once and he comes back to life but I finish him off.

I don't know what to do in situations like this. Why would you just stop mid match? The good sportsman in me thinks I shouldn't attack him while he's obviously not responding, but the competitor in me says "fuck that, you're wasting my time". Opinions?

I seriously doubt you are actually physically incapable of doing it, you just didn't give yourself enough time to adjust

Freaking chuns and bisons are just wrecking me. Every chun I fight seems to poke the hell out of me outside of my range. I can never find any opening to get strikes in. Still need to work on my execution too. I've been enjoying the hell out of ken though. Originally I planned on maining karin but now I dunno.

Whatever magic I had two days ago is gone, the losing streak cometh, I guess I can be proud I ate those losses like a man, from superbronze to the brink of rookie, I've been exposed!

At least I might try some other characters again now, my Vega is no longer beautiful.

I tend to wait a bit if an opponent is immobile just in case they had to quickly go deal with something but after a certain amount of time you just gotta move on, and by move on I mean wallop them like a punching bag.

I wish I could Shareplay on Steam with one of you guys so I could get my 3rd Ranked win in a row. I'm so bad that I don't wanna chance going for my third win. >_<

I usually just use the Steam overlay as well, but I don't have a lot of demands for the FPS counter either. You can probably turn down post-processing without too much loss of fidelity, and anti-aliasing is a resource hog, so see if you can live with turning that down.

Switch characters? You can win 3 in a row at beginner level by blocking the INEVITABLE dragon punch, hitting whatever your crush counter button is, then throwing the opponent. Rinse, repeat, you'll get 3 in a row.

Yeah, I tend to too. In this case I think I would have waited in the second round if I hadn't been down a round, and wasn't sure if this was some kind of stalling tactic. To be honest though, I'd half kicked his ass before I realised that there was nothing coming back.

I've read that Sim spanks Ryu, but I have actually faced some Ryu players that demolish me harder than most Bisons or Chuns, lol.

I should also mention I tried Hard Survival for the first time and Normal's Boss, Bison came early at being a little bitch. So yeah, that's...gonna suck.

This games ranked mode is fucked.

I'm.rank 49k. Pits me against rank 16k. Says it's 5 bar connection but it's laggy as fuck. Loos 55 points..... Like what?

I've had this happen a few times, and I usually wait a bit (my limit is around 30-45 seconds) for them to get back to the match, so that they have a chance to reconnect their controller, deal with whoever is interrupting them, or whatever. But if they haven't gotten back at that point, then I just KO them. I'd rather have a good match than a few points for beating somebody who is AFK, so it has usually been worth my while to wait.

watch out for that wall bounce kick thing, it does absurd damage, also expect many neutral jumps, wake up supers/that spinning attack thing.

There's a very very tricky crossup I keep getting hit by. I'm assuming it's a LK because of the animation. How do I know which side he'll land on?

You litterally just said dp beats lk, so clearly I can't use that to bait out dp. I could do nothing, and hope he does dp, but ugh...
Even if it does, I'm not sure exactly u have to check the frames advantage, you are plus after a HK meaning your opponent has to block or use an invincible move. You can bait dp and basically win the round he's now I'm the corner.
