Your monitor has nothing to do with output on the headset
I got my order in at about 9:05am CST.
I just realized my debit card that I used for payment method expires 04/16.
Am I gonna get screwed?
Isn't OR like 840 with tax and shipping anyway ?
Oh, okay. I was just wondering because I tried the SteamVR Performance program and even tho I have GTX 980 ti and i7 2600K, I got the lowest score?
Oh god not these clowns!Digital River Ireland Ltd. is the authorised reseller and merchant of the products and services offered within this store.

spot the base stations.
Thats what I did (sadly) even though I really want that Vive.
Dude's a billionaire yet is still sporting a PC gaming setup that's this pedestrian? It looks like my PC setup.
I expected at least 3 30" 4K monitors and a roaring beast of a rig.
You definitely shouldn't be getting the lowest score with that (You should be getting 'Very High' - are you running any software that is limiting framerates to anything below 90fps?

Me too, but not for that price. Maybe in a few months, in case it doesn't do as well as expected, but for that price you can buy quite a few different things that probably give me more joy![]()
If only Valve had launched this with some new games. My finger is itching to pre-order this but I need to know there's more to play on it than little minigames.
Yeah. I am saying "200 more expensive is half the price of a middle-class Pascal GPU soon".
If Touch comes out and Oculus reveals their roomscale tracking, I will buy that. Just sad, since I really wanted to buy it...
You gotta think like a rich person. This is his VR Rig, so large high-res monitors wouldn't be very useful. Those would probably be on one of his other computer setups. On this thing he's got two GPUs, that's all that's supported by VR. On his hardcore gaming rig, it's probably some beast with four Titans. And he probably has a business rig designed to be super quiet/cool.Dude's a billionaire yet is still sporting a PC gaming setup that's this pedestrian? It looks like my PC setup.

You would think for a dude with a $100 million dollar home would have a more elaborate pc setup.
Do we know if canadian orders will also pay customs tax on top it?
though you'll have to spend at least some of that $200 on Oculus Touch
Also well documented in this Ni No Kuni GAF thread. But digital river has an A+ BBB rating!

Uh yeah, I hope he wasn't seated on that chair when he called it awful. You'd think coding minecraft in Java would teach you a thing or two about occlusion.Someone asked Notch to post his setup

I don't know if you are into space sims but Eliteangerous is a great game in VR.

Yeah, that's not enough. I checked the Steam VR games list (http://store.steampowered.com/search/?#sort_by=_ASC&vrsupport=101,102&page=1) and I'm definitely gonna chill out and wait till next year or later to get a VR headset. Valve sucks ass at launching hardware, they should have had some games man.
Its a 1st gen launch. Not sure what you expected. Also with wrappers etc more stuff will be available than what you think.
He's already said that he's tried nothing from Oculus since DK2 and that Rift is the better of the two when seated. He just doesn't trust Facebook.Uh yeah, I hope he wasn't seated on that chair when he called it awful. You'd think coding minecraft in Java would teach you a thing or two about occlusion.
Almost certainly.

do you know if you can arrange the lighthouses in a wider area but use a smaller area for gaming?
In my home setup, the PC is in a separate alcove which might just about be enough for standing, but is definitely where I'll do any sitting games. But for room scale (small), I'd need to be in the other half of the room. So ideally I'd have the lighthouses set up to cover the overall area.
Have they stopped taking preorders now? Seems to have disappeared from the site.

YES definitely. Unless the hold goes through before then.
Here's the one I used, seems fine: http://htcvr.com/
Na seems like it's overloaded or they've sold the allocation, I got one but curious to know.
