As much as I like Assassins' Fist, I hope capcom doesn't consider this a replacement for a proper story mode for SFV. Really hoping that Square Enix trademark was hinting at a collaboration for them working on the cutscenes or something.

Would love a full fledged story mode like Mortal Kombat.
But sfv does have a proper story mode coming tho.

I'm looking forward to this as I really enjoyed the first one. I would have liked it more if Ryu/Ken were doing more of a world tour righting opponents/learning more about themselves and their strengths instead of being part of some sort of worldly organization, but this smells like Capcom's stink fingers moving this series in a direction best suited for them and not best suited for what the series I felt stood for in the first season.

i know it's cool to hate Capcom but World Warriors is still coming http://streetfighterww.com

amazing

fuck, i may need to rewatch AF soon

Looks great! Though they're not doing a full Episodic release on Youtube like Assassin's Fist? I'd rather them do that and watch it on PC in full HD instead of having to download a app and watch it on my phone :(. Anybody here used the go90 app before?

i downloaded go90 and i'm gonna try it tonight with my apple tv

i'll report back after

Ahh thanks for the clarification. I was wrong then. I don't hate Capcom, I'm just not a fan of some of their decision making skills ^_^

well i think we were all in that club at one point or another lol

I hope Sony Pictures or another studio will step up to the plate and help fund World Warriors as a television show. It’s apparent to me the only thing currently holding this team back are budget constraints. This trailer does a much better job than the high profile trailer CTHD Sword of Destiny. I'm sure more money can iron out any less than stellar issues we see here. I still have unshakable faith in these guys.

Where's Amy?

Budget seems way lower than SFAF. These cats are just fighting inside the same gym they probably train at, only now in silly halloween costumes.

Thrilled Laura is gonna be in this tho!

I like your post sixteen-bit. It shows that fans have that preemptive unease about the amount of money being spent on this production. You have to spread the money around when you inflate the cast and special effects. We know with Street Fighter, fans have been burnt by two live action movies in the past. Fans will always be sniffing for any blood in the water. In this production's case the blood in the water is the budget.

I've been reading all the Facebook and YouTube comments related to this show. Most comments all allude to one thing. The show has a limited budget that pales in comparison to other adaptations. We are living in an unprecedented era where comic book movies have on average 100 million dollar budgets, higher profile comic book movies get over 200 million dollar budgets. It pains me to see the most dedicated and passionate filmmakers associated with Street Fighter in its history having to try to work magic with such limited resources.

But damn if they're aren't doing a fucking fantastic job with what they've been given.

Yeah it's really cool that Max mentioned the show to his audience. Maybe he will go back and do a review of Assassin's Fist when he has some free time. I scoured his videos looking for a review when Assassin's Fist released and couldn't find anything. I know he must be super busy. I just thought that omission was odd becasue Max is pretty much on top of everything fighting game (especially Street Fighter) related.

Awww I was hoping they would work on the full fledged sequel first :c

It is obvious capcom rushed them to do this around the time sfv released for hype and promotion. I really hope they can get back to work on their sequel again since it was so well done.

I like the way they handled little easter eggs about the games. A lot of stuff they talked about in AF could fit in canon extremely well

Also, that KEN. he has done it again! I swear that dude really is ken IRL lmaooo!

I don't know if this story is going to tackle Nash's backstory. I hope Joey goes back in World Warriors and explains how Nash got the ability to cast Sonic Booms. I'm hoping they explain it somewhat like this. He picked it up from his travels overseas as a pilot while on military bases while dabling in Asian combat sports, he then adapted the Qigong technique into the modern Sonic Boom. It'd be cool to make Nash a hand to hand military combat specialist. Nash as a combat instructor would be great.

Also I really love the characterization Guile got in Street Fighter 2V. This would be a perfect way to solidify Guile and Nash as martial arts aficionados.

  • The lady in the woods looks like she's Kolin of the Illuminati.
I thought it was Helen at first, but the outfit doesn't match up.
Plus her hair could be just the Assassin's Fist team's interpretation of Kolin's hair (unless that's Helen's hair without her hat).
  • The knuckles most likely belong to Cammy, with the hair of this woman matching Cammy's hair.
I originally thought it would be Decapre, but her gauntlets don't match up with Decapre's SFV design.

Decapre's in the webseries. Decapre's in the SF5 story mode. Decapre's in the cinematic story expansion coming this June.

Strong possibility she'll be playable at some point in SF5's lifespan...

I've some mild reservations about enlisting Ryu and Ken as an elite group of international crime fighters. This is why I said earlier in the thread I was concerned about them working from an original story. It all depends on the execution as to whether I'll like this.

i'd be all about this. that character would look great in sf v's engine.

This thread got buried. Maybe someone should've created a new thread for it. The acting is a lil funky and I spotted some weird camera movements, but I'll give it a watch

The first episode is out now. I guess go90 is trying to gain viewership for their new app by releasing these over time. I want to start a new thread but I guess I'll let someone else do it. So far I'm pleased with what World Warrior Productions has done. World Warrior Productions is indeed much better than saying the team that bought us Assassin's Fist. So Kudos. The show is well worth the wait. I'd want more of this.

Capcom did one something right this year.

When we get that thread going I'll post my full review.
