Hillary speech.

I do think her focusing on positive things is good.
Congratulating Sanders is good.

Sanders is the one that has to attack.

Christ. Seeing so many people I know on Facebook post things similar to "If Bernie doesn't win tonight, I will just write him in in November. That will teach them."

No, that is how you split the vote and give the presidency to Trump.

At least they are voting.

People don't care about delegates, wins is all that matters. If Rubio won by 1 point in VA the narrative would be different than if he lost by 1 point, which is silly but how it is.

That's how Hillary got in trouble in 08, Obama crushed in south, even though Hillary was winning states, she couldn't overcome the delegate math

love and kindness
break down barriers

new talking points are taking hold!

Hillary already attacking Trump's campaign... Say what you will, but I think she's a good politician, and would make a good President.

Would vote for Bernie if he got the nom too...

Yep. Delegates are what counts but people get so fixated on wins - especially in close states that are proportional for whatever reason. Margins matter, Bernie would still be in this even if he was losing if he could have kept the margins in the south close.

No, that is how you split the vote and give the presidency to Drumpf.

If she's the Nom, Trump wins...regardless

How did Sanders lose so much momentum? Was it the ill-advised comments?
Iowa and NH are two of the three whitest states on the Dem Calendar (third is Vermont.)

Once he got out of mono-white world, he went off the rails because he wasn't actually altering his core message to address the concerns of the minority voters who make up a huge chunk of the Dem electorate.

Nope. That's the funny thing about it. All the states she's won so far are dyed in the wool red during generals. She'll lose them and lose them hard if she's the nom.

This is a misread of what will happen in November. What this really means is if Clinton is the nom the dens will be competitive in certain local elections that will not be competitive with sanders at the top of the ticket. Sanders is winning a few northern states that will go democrat regardless, it is the down ticket elections in otherwise red states that are important for the party long term not necessarily winning the state outright in the electoral college.

Hillary really is a pretty robotic speaker. Very jarring after 8 years of 'Bams.

Edit: And "love and kindness" is a pretty treacly message. Perhaps I'm having trouble disentangling it from Cory Booker's reading of the execrable poetry of Maya Angelou at a previous Clinton rally.

I'm not thrilled about Hill, but not much of a choice between her and Trump.

Based on her speech right now, Bernie has really pushed her campaign messaging to the left. It will be interesting to see how the campaign changes from tonight. If she gained in young voters.
