Giving a qualified argument is not grounds for attacks, it should not, and will never be in my opinion.

What we have now is a bunch of adult men who are mad they are no longer able to fondle the face of characters that appear underage in a game. So they are lashing out accusing someone of being a pedophile.

I dunno man. Opinions or what have you, regardless of gender of the person holding those ideals, Nintendo should be aware of this at least since it's a family oriented company. Since this issue has been brought to life it should be at least touched up upon, what NoA decides to do is on them and their image as a company. People (in a perfect world) shouldn't be busting out pitchforks and torches, just let the company know and let them handle it.

Having read the thesis, it seems to call for the United States to sign (or abide by?) the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, something Japan has done that has shown to lower child porn trafficking in that country. It would most likely lessen (in the U.S.) the possession of child porn, but not the creation or distribution of it.

There are way too many women out there for GG to try targeting them all. As funny as it would be to imagine harassment targets being chosen via a dartboard, that's generally not how reactionary hate groups operate: there are additional reasons she was targeted, and I am curious as to what those reasons are.
EDIT: So it actually is about the CP thing? Thought it was more localization whining.

If the situation now is anything like it was last year, there is a pretty deep divide in the KotakuInAction arm between the people who have barely even heard of 8chan and really did gravitate to the community over issues in journalism and free speech (or just frustration with heavy-handed moderation elsewhere on Reddit)easy to do when KiA posts of wide general interest are easily accessible to others on Redditand the more unsavoury boors among them who make the same mistake as the so-called SJWs in conflating Internet outrage with righteous activism.
I don't see why the former camp even bothers anymore, but there are enough of them that have been embedded for long enough that I think many of them wish to assert a claim of ownership over the spirit of the community.
In the meantime, everybody is too busy stirring up outrage at each other to make a coherent stand for free speech, which necessarily involves defending those with whom you vehemently disagree. Sometimes those will be SJWs, and other times those will be GGers. Instead the social-network era of the Internet has turned politics into one big conditional game of "It's okay if you're one of us."

I don't think we can call this a tactic exclusive to GG. Name-and-shame is something people happily do on both sides of the ideological divide, usually for the express purpose of getting someone fired.
