Nintendo Direct: new presentation announced for tomorrow

Generations doesn't really make sense for story though. MHX was all about bringing back stuff from every Monster Hunter generation (hence the Cross in the title) so Generations fits perfectly.

X has no Fire Emblem content though, and all Monster Hunter DLC is on cart. Whatever that is, it's not the Monster Hunter X that Japan got.

Hey guys! I know a guy who knows a guy who got a legit leak this time. Can't reveal my source because he will lose his jaw and job. Please understand.

I just got an exclusive pic of tomorrow's Direct content for the Americas provided by my cousin who works as janitor at NoA:

Fire Emblem Shin Megami hentai trailer eh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Personally I think the leaked list would be a fine Nintendo Direct. All of the negativity is just the normal amount of "Maaaaan that Direct had NOTHING in it" that follows literally every Nintendo Direct.

The "Main Presentation" could be the big secret they've been holding close to the chest, like Paper Mario U...which is unfortunate since it's been basically leaked.

But I'm most excited for Metroid Prime FF. I Really want to see what that game looks like now that Next Level Games has had 9 months to find a way to make the game look appealing to get everyone to shut up. As a Metroid fan, I want to see the game succeed, but it has to deserve it. I HATED what we first saw of it, but I imagine they took that feedback to heart.

Guessing Star Fox Zero First Print will be an Amiibo Bundle, maybe an Arwing or Landmaster Amiibo? I think that I remember Miyamoto toying with the idea.

If I recall correctly Miyamoto mentioned Slippy is his favourite.

Must be , who uses Excel 97 these days

It probably is a "97-2003 spreadsheet", it doesn't mean that they have that in that computer but that the file is a .xls perhaps created in another computer.

Reposting for posterity along this one(which I posted earlier).

So an interesting topic came up on Smashboards.

Someone said its possible that someone could have seen the leak before, and made the trademark to support the leak to fool people.

What I want to know is what officially came first:

The trademark or the leaked European Direct?

Apparently the latter came first, but wouldn't the trademark say who registered it?

Why would a news site report fake news that will eventually (read: tomorrow) be proven as fake before actual breaking news that could put their site on our radars perpetually?

It's a half baked theory.

Edit: Misread. I don't think trademarks work that way.

It's much more likely that someone saw the trademark filing, then created a fake leak that mentioned Monster Hunter Generations.

There's literally no way of knowing when the Monster Hunter Generations filing appeared outside of "March 2," which could have been anytime today, unless someone was crawling the site constantly until it was first discovered.

As long as someone (who could have faked the leak) could have found it before the person who showed it to GAF, there are no guarantees.

Yeah, I checked the screenshot of the listing and realized it only listed date and not time. (Which, makes perfect sense, listing the time it was filed would be very meticulous)

Man I'm kinda glad that the contents of this Direct got leaked (supposedly), even I would have been disappointed by this if I was the least bit hyped beforehand. Idk, maybe there's still more beyond what we now know but I don't want to get my hopes up.

SNES VC on n3DS would have been really cool back when the revision launched but now it feels kinda long in the tooth for it to really excite me, especially when the 3DS is almost definitely getting a successor in less than a year. Plus, with how much they love to dripfeed VC I wouldn't be at all surprised if we only ever see 10 or 15 SNES games hit the service before they stop releasing them altogether, in the west anyway. I think the only way I'd be excited is if they introduce cross buy and I can play all my WiiU SNES VC games on the go, but there's virtually a 0% chance of that happening.

I guess I'd rebuy Earthbound if they put it on n3DS :|

Got momentarily excited about SNES VC on 3DS, but then I remembered I still live in PAL Land so it's still going to be 50Hz shit. Maybe Nintendo will take this opportunity to swap out Super Metroid and A Link to the Past with 60Hz versions.
Maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt

Aren't all the NES games on the PAL VC 60hz? Not that it means we're safe.

I don't know why the Wii U isn't getting HD remasters/ports of games people actually have been asking for.

No offense to Twilight Princess HD... but I know a few GameCube games and even Wii games like Super Mario Strikers Charged that would've caused alotta hype if they got the HD treatment for Wii U. Even Kid Icarus: Uprising is a game many people wanna see on Wii U.

I don't know why Nintendo isn't paying guys like Tantalus to do a few HD ports while the Wii U lifespan comes to an end. I know Tantalus did the Twilight Princess HD but I wanted them to do something far more exciting.

It's obvious NX is getting all the love and focus... heck, even Retro's rumored Wii U game is nowhere to be seen or heard. I guess that got pushed to NX. So why not toss the Wii U actual HD remasters/ports of games people actually missed out on and/or would actually benefit in multiple ways?

If the SNES games on N3DS are true, assuming stuff comes in with the Nintendo account, I hope that shit's cross-buy.

I know it won't be

I couldn't agree more with this. Don't get me wrong, I love Zelda, and am pumped for TP:HD, but as a Metroid fan, it just screams obvious to have done a Metroid Prime HD remaster instead. It would help hold over Metroid fans until the next console Metroid. Appeals to a different audience that the Wii U has underserved, and is an absolute masterpiece, whereas TP is considered by many to be one of the lesser 3D Zeldas.

Wanna play your SNES games that you bought on the Wii on 3DS? Sure, pay 2$ to transfer them to WiiU mode so they can get linked to your NNID, and then pay another 2$ to transfer them to your 3DS!

Just save your self the disappointment and use emulators.

My theory:

This is just the stuff specific to Europe, dates and the like. Main presentation contains all the stuff that is common across continents, while the likes of Star Fox Zero/Federation Force/MH/Rio contain either Japanese VO's for the trailers (Devs mostly, which have subs instead of dubs), different dates or PEGI ratings. Which could mean different trailer files (as these are folders instead of video clips) then either Japan or US. SNES on 3DS may have different software at launch, like perhaps Super Picross or some other game.

I feel that the real gems are hidden in either the "_wip" or "Main Presentation" folders.

i mostly think this because i want rhythm heaven 3ds already for fucks sake
