McCarthy Possession will be early on in Act I. Hemsworth will be the Second To Final Boss in Act II/beginning of Act III that acts as a clear contrast between the McCarthy Possession.
You do realize that was/is "the thing" because of sexism, right?
Like, you just said "if I knew it would have been bad, I would have been sexist earlier".

Bingo. Although I'm thinking the Times Square scene is later in the film and they don't look bloody so he probably just throws them against walls or whatever.
I would love to see them get roughed up a bit.

They are two different jokes. It's not like that one brief shot is a frame for frame homage of a GB1 scene.

Could just be a badly cut trailer though. Hopefully trailer 2 will give us something better. There is some stuff that looks good, Traps and new Proton Pack weapons look cool.
It's the humour for me, let's hope some of these joke's aren't used in the final movie and there is some better material used and if it's crap though we can still watch the better original anyway.
But I don't mind this existing for a new generation though, especially after the original cast had a shot at making GB3 and they failed to get it made.
Eh, I think he is saying what a lot of people feel in this era of remakes, reboots, and safe sequels. Many people are tired of studios putting out almost nothing original with good talent behind it. Everything is so risk averse these days. And when somewhat original ideas are funded, they are typically so manufactored and tinkered with that they lose any semblance of a soul.
I actually love Paul Feig and if asked whether I would want him to helm a Ghostbusters reboot or be given 150 million to come up with something unique and original I would love to see the result of the latter 10 times out of 10.

Looks like in the background there's a dead cop so I'm guessing he ends up killing a cop. So either he's possessed or he's behind everything.
Either way, that's clearly an Act 2/3 thing where the McCarthy joke is probably foreshadowing.
Verge has an interview with Feig and one of the writers, some interesting tidbits about the movie (Slimer is a puppet enhanced with CG for example)

There is already police tape around so it makes me think Hemworth's character is going toward some area that is the source and so might be possessed by a ghost that is causing all this chaos. I don't know where the new Ghostbusters are located, but this doesn't look like their headquarters.

So Hemsworth is the one that releases all the ghosts from the machine? Or it could be the Ghostbusters stop the tertiary (implied to be human) villain, possibly ending in the bad guy dying, and the cops then crime scene it up?
Also, in the scene with the Stilt Ghost, it looks like all the ghosts are being drawn somewhere, so the bad guy probably needs a shitload of ghosts for their master plan.

I disagree. It's a thing I could see that character doing.
McKinnon's character has the best swagger.
The only thing there that kind of bugged me is the "There's an origin story for everything" line at the end. I don't know that there necessarily needs to be an origin story for everything. Personally, I don't need a reason why they happen to choose the same Ghostbusters logo. The reason they have the Ghostbusters logo is because it's a Ghostbusters movie and that's what their logo is. Does it really need to be explained?
THE FORCE AWAKENS is essentially a remake of STAR WARS and it didn't erase the original from history. You can purchase the film on home video and it's still going to be played on television.
The same applies to GHOSTBUSTERS.

I think that's what got me really excited.
The look is amazing. I love the ghosts.
I love that scene with all the ghosts in Times Square.
The bluish effect to the ghosts just looks God awful. Going to be a lot of slime jokes in this one.

The new slime splitting ghost is an actor with CG enhancements. Most of the ghosts in the movie are actors or puppets with CG work on top of them.Yea I agree.

Complete reboot. The opening line was only in there to make reference to the viewers that the old movies exist. It's a weird marketing thing which I think was put in intentionally to draw the less informed to the movie thinking it'd be a sequel.

Leslie Jones plays Leslie Jones. And compared to Winston - "Ah, if there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say." - at least she is proactive about joining the crew.
