I don't remember but didnt the teacher have a vague clue that satoru was hiding her? Wouldnt he have just followed him if he was the killer?
Episode 9
This episode moved a lot faster than previous ones. As an adaptation it was pretty good, but as a testament to Satoru's character, not so much! He's basically being a stalker now to "protect" little girls he doesn't even know! Creeeeepy.
Next week's episode should be a -major- episode, and it's storyboarded and directed by Shikama, who also did ep3... and all the best action scenes in Sword Art Online.
With the pace the anime is on now, it is almost certain that on March 17th at the noitaminA 2016 conference they will announce some sort of movie conclusion for the series.
I was gonna say with 3 episodes to go, there's no way this doesn't finish awkwardly. And I wouldn't mind a movie conclusion, the issue is that it'd never come to the west so we'd have to wait till blu-ray release basically shafting fans in the West.

It's Aniplex, so the change of it screening in the US and/or streaming at the same time is pretty likely...
With a lot of anime movies recently getting limited theatrical releases in the US, it's actually fairly likely that Aniplex will arrange for a US release of an Erased movie.
the car full of candy was the author outright mocking us for ever believing it was the teacher.
Wasn't it implied earlier in the series that the killing of Hiromi might have been to throw the cops off?The teacher would know that Hiromi was a boy so he is probably not the killer

To make the police think it was someone going after only girls? Did I misinterpret that?

I forgot that.
The killer so far
Knows satorus mom
Knows the guy who runs the pizza store
Going to say Kenya
But Satoru knows what he looks like. If it was Kenya, would Story still let him be a "superhero" with him?

Satoru has never had a close look at the killer, and Kenya would easily accompany Satoru in all of these missions if his original goal was to get rid of lonely children and Satoru and he was doing it out of boredom.
His character is too strange for me. The fact he's so willing to play along with Satoru's supposed delusions is suspicious as fuck.
It definitely is not normal and he has to know more than he is leading on, but during his intro (Satoru's monolog), didn't Satoru state in he was very mature for his age.

Also, it still looks from thus gif that h got a really good look at the killer.
the killer had a hat covering his face didn't he? Plus it's been years, Kenya could have grown facial hair or changed enough. I won't recognize kids I went to class with back in elementary that easily lol
i think Kenya has the same power as Satoru.
He's the most suspicious character.
Did Kenya drop the box with all the kidnapping gear in the bus with Kayo to lead Satoru astray then?
Maybe the killer is the kid who satoru let win the race?
Side question, why is Yuuki hanging out with Aya as well?
If Kenya's the murderer, who was it in the bus that spooked Kayo? Also, was Kayo not transported in her second murder? I doubt Kenya could carry her.
Maybe she likes planes?
Yuuki is clearly a Michael Jackson. A total manchild who is socially awkward and relates better with little boys and girls than people his age. The difference is that he lives in Japan and he's not rich, so when society makes the assumption, he rots in jail.
Nothing to be confused about, the killer does in fact look a lot like the teacher in the few shots we have seen of him.God dammit man I'm so confused. Went back and compared the end of episode 6 where Satoru sees the murderer as he's being arrested, and he has exactly the same looking jaw and hair as the teacher. I'm so confused.
It's a matter of perception when it comes to figuring out what's a red herring and what isn't.at this point i'd be genuinely mad if it's the teacher because he's been the red herring the whole time.

But the killer also kinda looks like Satoru too. Or it could be Satoru's dad.
This might be an occam's razor type situation here. Maybe the simplest answer is in fact correct.

You're probably joking but it does seem he has some kind of development issues, which makes the whole thing more tragic to me anyway.Yuuki is clearly a Michael Jackson.
