I am terrified of a Trump presidency

Trump is the least dangerous Republican candidate on that stage.

Depends on what demographic you're talking about.

The fucked up thing about the Republican party is that unless you're a rich heterosexual white Christian male, you're on their chopping block

If you're having actual panic attacks over a possible change in administration in November, you should probably talk to your psychiatrist about altering dosages.

Your fear is as silly as people who claim a president Sanders will change this country to a socialist state.

There are check and balances for a reason.

Not to mention Trump most likely don't even believe in half of the things he's saying.

Trump presidency means dark days ahead for minorities. Last two presidents have been good to okay on race, he would be Reagan tier.

I can't see how people prefer a lying witch like Hillary to Trump, that might be too polarizing and dramatic with his speeches but you can be sure that guy isn't a puppet guided by some lobbies. He will never validate a nuclear on some countries, meanwhile Hillary supports Saudi Arabian funded islamists. There is a german proverb that goes like this: Barking dogs never bite.

You sure? They already are falling in line. He even has governors at his side and senators! At last night's debate, they said they would support him if he became the nominee. I just have a feeling once he is, most of them will back him.

Its really a scary thought.
Paul Ryan's recent speech about Trump didn't seem to imply he had any faith in him and would only support him because of the party... not that he liked anything about him. That's just what I took from it at least.

Don't worry too much about it.

The Republicans hate him, the Democrats hate him, his chances of getting to the white house are low

I do let myself get so emotionally crippled with things I don't have full direct control over.

That being said, I do understand the importance of voting for who or what you believe ink and hoping for the best. I also understand the anxiety over the possibility of a leader whom you believe would drag the nation you love and live in to new lows.

That's actually why I am scared of a Clinton presidency, why I became a democrat and voted Bernie.

People always glance over this, the guy was a democrat not that long ago. He's just good at pandering to the far right voters.

While Trump has a very good chance of winning the Republican primary, he has a super low chance of winning in the general election. If it's Hillary vs Trump he loses as long as she doesn't self destruct in some manner. If it's Sanders vs Trump then Donald will lose huge.

Yeah, President Drumpf is a terrifying possibility, but his chances are in reality very slim to none.

Every minority group hates him

Women hate him

And to win he would need Damn near every white male to vote for him

We have a bunch of checks and balances to keep it from getting out of hand. I would be more concerned about his supports and the fact they exist

You're very correct. I think fears about Trump are generally overblown, but he's legitimized white nationalism in a really terrifying way.

You need to calm down. Even if he gets elected, Donald Trump is not going to outlaw free speech and nuke all of Eurasia. He'd hardly be the first dogshit human being to be president, and I'd be very surprised if he was functionally worse than having Dick Cheney pulling the strings for 8 years. Donald Drumpf is 97.642% pure bullshit, and the fact that maybe as much as 40% of the country loves the taste of bullshit doesn't mean that he's going to Magoo his way into making the country a nuke-spewing third world dictatorship

Good perspective, it doesn't get much worse than Dick Cheney and Bush.

(I know I need to calm down, I've been stressed out lately)

He's a puppet currently being guided by racists. That's his constituency. If denied, go look at some of the polls that came out during S.C primaries, about Muslims and Slavery.

He's only close because of one reason, and we all fucking know it. You can point to this and that, but without his demagoguery, without his fascist statements, he's not getting anywhere near the top of a republican ticket, let alone the white house.

What I get from most posts is that no one really cares about the implications of someone like Trump becoming president are for the rest of us.

Not even what he and his administration would do, but what that says about the general public.

Yet the idea of somene like Bush or Obama embarking on crusades with indiscrimate wars, torture and drone strikes make you feel okay?

Trump is a scumbag but please don't pretend like his reign if elected will deviate that much from the norm.

It is a weird situation. On one hand Trump has almost no chance of winning since he doesn't have a path to 270 against Hilary or Bernie. On the other hand he is still the second most likely person on earth to be the 45 President of the United States.

Cruz scares me more. Hell, Rubio would be worse as well. I'm pretty sure Americans aren't stupid/racist enough to vote a republican into office this time around.

I think ppl are over analyzing things about him.
He doesn't come off as someone to go to war.
And if he abuses his position then just impeach him.

a Republican controlled Congress is more likely to impeach Trump than a Democrat controlled Congress would

they will accept him, slap an establishment friendly VEEP, then impeach him so that the VEEP can takeover

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
There's a reason why Mitt Romney is scrambling to replace him as the candidate. If the RNC is more scared of him than you are, you should think about why that is.

I can assure you that is not correct. Personally, I know multiple queer people and women who will be voting for him come general, all but 3 Sanders primary voters.

"I'm not getting my guy so I'm going to vote for the complete opposite just to spite the person who defeated my guy!"

It's more than this, man, it's what he's preaching(that he might or might not believe) and how many are foaming at the mouth at the possibility. I mean, didn't a room of people during a debate clap when advocated for "worse than waterboarding". It's depressing to see that reality.

To all idiots voting for him you are doing a great job destroying america again..it is not entertainment it is just the people who think he is fantastic work but all i see as a european a dictator,a neonazi,a facist,a supremacist talking and jabbing dumb shit out of his mouth and people are taking it like it is all ok.

Cruz is also terrifying i agree but seeing this idiot rising among the votes is staggering and show that people will vote for it no matter what.

Good to know there are other fellow queer people who don't give a flying fuck about the rest of us lol. Besides, anecdotal evidence is pretty sketchy.

I don't live in the USA (I'll be there this October for 8 months tho), so there is one thing I don't understand.
I think I've never read someone saying something nice about him. From here (France) he is just a crazy guy (from what I read/saw).

So, why is he winning ?

Black people also vote republican, doesn't mean the vast majority don't fucking despise the GOP.

As I said in another thread:

It was entertaining during the summertime, but now its serious, and its time for him to go.

As an American, I am truly concerned what he would do with power. Really don't want to think to much about it.

It was never entertaining. This train of thought always annoyed me.
