If I had to guess, the fact that Pete is a photographer, and the eyes make a camera shutter sound, I'm gonna say functionally his mask and eyes are aided with tech. So they probably zoom in on things and I'd even go so far as to say he can take pictures with them while fighting baddies to sell to the Daily Bugle.

They do. They made a deal and this is pretty much a loan to Marvel by Sony. Marvel has limited use of Spider-man and are just setting him up. Sony can then go and make their films.

Still think it's dumb to call this a 'Captain America' movie though. Feels like it really undermines the whole 'who's side are you on?' conflict when Cap's name is right in the title.
