He stopped being a fan?

When you're the one creating the material, you don't get to experience it as a fan.
For instance, David Tennant who played the Tenth Doctor on Doctor Who, said for similar reasons that it was good to be a fan again after he left the show. It just means it's good to be an outside observer again.

Imagine watching Star Wars as George Lucas. You don't see characters, you dont get surprised. You see actors and plot points you personally worked on. He doesnt get to enjoy it the same way we do.

ASM 1 was the best Spidey movie and they fucked it up for ASM2.

ASM1 is my favorite spidey movie and ASM2 is my least favorite. Truth.

Between them and Avi Arad tightening his grip on the sequel, 2 didn't stand a chance. Andrew #1 Spidey, prove me wrong Tom.

the suit looks perfectly fine. At high res you can see the details and i think it looks great.

I dont know why i bothered spoilering the pic. maybe theres someone out there that doesnt want to see it :D

It looks awesome
in the imagination of a five year-old playing with his action figures.

It looks really ridiculous without any context.

It's made worse in that Iron Man and Warmachine are running for no reason, when in every other movie they simply just fly away without having to run.

He'll always be the dopey kid from The Ice Storm, and the terrible Spider-Man.

I've always like Tobey as Spiderman. That may not be the cool thing to say on the internet anymore, but it's my opinion.

He is a teenager and all. Just sayin...

The main criticism I have of it seems to be that it feels out of pace. The trailer is so super serious (as most Marvel films are) and then a kid like Spiderman pops up at the end "Hiiiiiiiii erryone!"

Yeah. I don't know. The suit looks great though.

He's a high school kid

Exactly. Why anyone is questioning that he sounds young is strange. He's young and cocky. Hopefully he trash talks a lot. Comic book Spider-Man would talk so much trash
to his villain foes that they'd often lose concentration and screw up, giving Spidey a tactical advantage. :)

That's what they were going for. It's essentially a post credits scene within a trailer.

It makes me think a lot of these posters forget or don't know what Spider-Man is about

I think this is a good thing. The point of having all these characters together should be to provide a lot of variety and interaction to the characters and I doubt there's going to be that much Spider-man in this movie anyway. It's not going to be as jarring as it may seem.

that's part of the humor that comes with spider man, the juxtaposition of him with other high caliber super heroes and being kind of out of place among them

Yeah I think the trailer is better without him. At the same time I'm glad they showed him, they really needed to.

My only criticism with the suit is the stripes on the knees and arms. Not a fan of those.

Best trailer for the movie. I didn't like the other trailers much. Spiderman looks weird to me and I just can't get hype over yet another new spiderman even if this one is in MCU.

I'm just not getting hyped for this movie at all though. Maybe the let down of Avengers 2 just took the wind out me when it comes to Marvel or maybe I'll get more excited closer to the release.

The voice in isolation is fine.

It's a child's voice combined with a buff adults body that was weird as hell.

It isn't a child's voice though. It's definitely the voice of a... Tom Holland. However old he is. He said two words and I find it a little silly to try and approximate how he's going to sound in general.

edit: he's actually going to be 20 soon

When ironman says "i was wrong about you, the whole world was wrong", could he be talking to bucky? It would not be the first time they use dialogue to mislead.
