Let me calculate the odds here.

Spider-Man. Crap.
Spider-Man 2. Crap.
Spider-Man 3. Crap.
Amazing Spider-Man. Crap.
Amazing Spider-Man 2. Crap.
The Incredible Hulk. Crap.
Thor. Crap.
Captain America. Crap.
Iron Man 2. Crap.
Thor 2. Mega Crap.

Just take this prepubescent Spider-Man, and put him in a day care somewhere.

Why are you in a Marvel movie thread?

Also I LOVE the fact that this is high school Spider-Man. His roots were always with him starting that young and if you actually look back, we really didn't get much high school Spidey in the previous movies (not to mention we've only had actors pushing past 25 playing him). Plus in the MCU he's unique as a teenage superhero.

It was cool to finally see Spider-Man, but his reveal used the most boring and dull shots imaginable. It really does look like a television show.

Yeah, we should put the best of what Spider-Man has to give in this movie in a trailer...

I understand opinions and all, but my god some of the crap in this thread. From his voice, to the expert computer animators and CG artist in this thread...

I knew that even after Marvel got Spidey back in some form we'd get this crap lol. His costume, his line, and those eyes. That's so Spidey. I'm fucking hyped. Hope the film itself delivers.

I hope spiderman stays with iron man. Team cap has twice the number after you include black widow. How is that fair?

Iron man
Black panther
Vision
War machine

Captain america
Scarlet witch
Agent 13
falcon
Winter soldier
Ant man
Hawkeye

Good point. It makes me think that more people may get involved on these "teams" since we've yet to see Agent 13 except in some promo materials. Just the fact that Tony has 3-4 people on his team that could either switch sides (Peter, Natasha) or just become neutral (Panther, Vision) since it's hard to say that a lot of these guys have a particularly strong investment in that side of the conflict, and he potentially has one guy that might be taken out of commission entirely (Rhodey), makes it seem like Team Tony is on some shaky ground as far as superhero backup goes.

I think it's possible people from Cap's team switch sides (Wanda seems the most likely for several reasons, but maybe Scott as well) or Tony gets some government assistance/muscle and that is where things start getting out of his control.

Speculation:
Maybe Ross creates the Thunderbolts lead by Zemo, and that is why we haven't seem Zemo played up as the villain. Maybe we get Red Hulk or more Crossbones. There is room for a Zola return so maybe it's a Hydra tie-in that corrupts things. We also don't know where the Red Skull ended up. It would actually be pretty fitting if Zola and the Red Skull were pulling the strings from behind the scenes for all this to culminate in Civil War, especially with HYDRA's infiltration of SHIELD in Cap 2. It would bring everything full circle for the trilogy and could finally tie up the HYDRA story in a nice bow.

The reason I don't think it would happen is they wouldn't align Tony with the Nazis/HYDRA, even if it wasn't a direct partnership.

for anyone too lazy to rewatch it:

it's pretty clearly a prison

So this is
where Cap is going to end up, huh?

Also, that scene with Tony and Natasha with her telling Tony that he's the one that has to watch his back? What are the odds are that's at the end of the movie?

Because this is the sequel to Winter Soldier. A movie I like.

The better question is why folks like you become so reactionary, and start catching feelings over posts like that. Stop attaching your emotions to fictional properties to such a degree.
Nah man, we know you're joking, it's all good <3

That's what I'm thinking. Stark has his arm in a sling. So either it's right after the explosion and that sets up the chase for Winter Soldier, or it's after all the fighting and sets up their break up.

I wouldn't say the end but maybe the end of the second act. Apparently
the airport scene is the second act of the film
. So I could see that being a follow up.

What if Tony is the one that ends up in that prison?

Like, dramatic irony and all that jazz. He goes so goddamned far that they only way to contain him is in The Raft.

That could just be the cost to u.s. taxpayers. Helicarriers were probably funded by lots of countries.

They are doing it wrong then. Those things not only should be tens of billions each, the prices should also be inflated even more so that parasitic officials get fat bonuses for overseeing the project. Especially at the speed they fart them out.

This movie is so unrealistic. Fix your shit, Fiji.

Your opinion is crap man!

Wait, this is total garbage:

There's no way the Chitauri invasion ONLY caused 18 billion in damages and only killed 74 people.

2 billion and 23 dead? No fucking way, a shit ton of people died.

Oh come on.
Well, they are The Avengers. They saved the day.

There can't have mass casualties because then it would be a total FAIL.

I do hope someone(s) ends in prison and the next movie chapter is some sort of high stakes prison break!

Thinking about it, I doubt blowing up the prison (or anything else) is the big dumb ending for this movie. Everyone fighting everyone is gonna be it, so it gives me hope for a different type of conclusion where one is actually kind of invested in the dumb flashy action.

Just watched the trailer. Bring meh the spideyzzzzz! Hopefully with a graphical upgrade...and eye lenses? Ummm ok...

But I'm game as long as it brings the hype.

Tobey Maguire will always be Spiderman to me :(
I grew up with 70's TV series Spider-Man and I fucking loved it. It was terribly low budget and cheesy but I was crazy about it. So Raimi/Maguire Spider-Man was like a dream come true back then, to see a big-budget Spider-Man production. But to be honest neither him or Garfield made good Spideys (I blame the script, they're good actors, both) and don't get me started on MJ and Gwen. I will say that the Raimi movies had a great Green Goblin and of course JJJ, while the Webb movies had fantastic action.

Still, Spider-Man 2 train scene > anything in ASM/ASM2.
When's the last time you were 16
Three years from now.

I'm just watching reaction videos of people marking the fuck out at the Spider-Man reveal (that bored).

Marvel just increased that bank size finally showing him off.
