I made it to the end game and it is GLORIOUS.

Challenge missions own, you have to use teamwork and tactics or you are dead. Northern DZ is murderland with lvl 32 enemies everywhere. I wasn't worried in the first place but I am having more fun with the game since I hit lvl 30.

Hey look someone got their loot stolen. :D

They have white glow around them on the map and says "daily challenge mission" when you select them.
Thanks I'll check it out tonight when I get home is it really long ?

So the DZ is the only nedgame content besides harder versions of other missions? No special endgame "raids"? And is the Lv 30 DZ like the early game DZ but with tougher enemies and better loot? Same mechanics?

I'm really interested in the game but still not sure about the endgame.

Yeah, right now that is pretty much it. Next month sometime they'll be adding in Incursions which seems to be this game's version of a raid.

Proper Endgame content is coming with the next Dlc/Expensions :)

This is mostly for gearing up

Matchmaking with random people is fun but they all tend to rush through the missions, where I personally want to take my time and explore a bit. I think I will do the rest of the missions solo and only team up with people if I want to do them again.

The main story missions in this game are not like destiny story missions. Think of them like strikes and they are all good and very long. DZ is like one big raid that always evolves due to the player element. I spent like 10 hours in DZ and it was never the same thing over and over. There will be special end game "incursions" which I assume will be like a raid. Comes out next month in a free update.

The final mission you play is already like a raid imo. Don't wanna talk about it though since most people haven't been to it yet.

Went to the darkzone by accident last night ("oh, look at this, a door knob"). Made my way as lvl 6 player into it and it didn't take long until I heard gunshots and screams and yelling. Followed the noise and met 3 other players fighting mobs. Took my marksman rifle and helped out a little bit, needless to say I didn't do too much damage. But man, if this wasn't one of the most tense moments in my gamerlife.
The way back to the checkpoint was all heads over heel, but luckily I didn't get killed. Can't wait to get back and whoop some ass. 10/10 would bang again.

Dark zone really sucks big sweaty balls. They need to rethink it is just a gta online knock off
Maybe if you die enough you can come close to the same amount of loading screens as GTA Online.

This is something I'm a little concerned about unless incursions also have extra difficulty settings. People are gonna get like 3-4 weeks of time gearing up, so balance is gonna be whack. Either you need to be like BiS geared to do incursions for even better BIS gear or you can roll in with some purples and mostly blues and be okay.

I haven't hit level cap so I can't really tell how the gear game is gonna work at that point besides doing DZ.

This is the proper way to go, first time on normal is a must to do it with friends or solo

There's so much attention to details that it's a shame to treat it like a time attack

Nah never got anything stolen, never got anything worth stealing either.

Thanks for all the info guys! The Incursions are probably exactly what I'm looking for. With DS3 and UC4 pretty much around the corner I will probably jump into this when I'm done with those. :D

The gunplay is not better than destiny, not even close. But division is better in other areas. I much prefer division overall.

Another view:

Personally i feel the gunplay is as good as destiny albeit different. The guns feel weightier and you need to control what you are doing more. Its going to be a highly personal thing.

Got to level 10 yesterday. Had an incredible fun and frustrating time on the Dark Zone.

Got 18 contaminated objects, nothing worthwhile, but still loved I managed to pull it out.

I have a question regarding the daily and weekly events. How do I know they're happening?

Haven't seen any signs yet.

They don't open up till level 30, I believe.

True, you can't really compare "realistically unrealistic open world third cover based person shooter" with "unrealistic sci-fi first person shooter". One is far more tactical and far less 'tight' than the other

I don't get why people are comparing this game to FPS like Destiny and Borderlands. It's actually much closer to a game like Gears or R6 Vegas.

Probably because it's more rpg-ish than those titles. Gears or R6 doesn't involve loot, and doesn't have enemies with varying healthbars, nor status effects. The cover system is what sets it apart from those titles though, it's probably the best part of it's gameplay.

so not seeing people in my game was definitely a bug. once I saw no players in any safe house I visited I reran Uplay and the game and now I see people everywhere. Kinda dumb I played for so long thinking no one was playing.

Only at 16 DZ and the burst damage from enemies can get pretty crazy. I can see later on becoming pretty group dependent. Man I wish my friends played on PC and not PS4. Solo I'm not sure I will be able to play past 20, but as soon as I play with people it's amazing.

Some advice please.

Do you level / rank up much faster doing the missions on hard?

I can do the missions solo and then blaze through them and side quests.

Or I can do them on hard but they take longer.

So before I begin what do you think would be quickest... Doing easier mode because you get more done ; then going back and doing them on hard?

My absolute favorite thing to do in this game has been going into apartments/houses and scavenge supplies and clothes. Wish there were more interiors, so far they've been few and far between.

This game is Diablo with guns and I love it

Good thing i am not the only thinking that way. It had me that moment i played the closed beta.

Yeah as far as the structure of the game I get the comparisons, but the actual shooting really is more in the lineage of Gears.

Game is pretty fun so far. 2 of my friends are level 16 and me and another friend are 15. I really want to buy the Tech Wing part that costs 1000 that gets me the signature skill. So after they logged off, I first checked out matchmaking and did some DZ for fun, then a few solo Tech side missions of defending stuff. I'm basically at Level 16 now. We did every mission up until this point so I think all we can do are side quests until we reach L20 to do the next mission.

Not really looking forward to the L16 to L20 grind doing side missions the whole time :/

People should stop trying to forcefully compare this game to any game, period. Destiny, Borderlands, Mass Effect, R6, Gears. It has a bit of this, and a bit of that. But it's entirely its own game.

Amen

Rerolling stats on gear is a thing i absolutely love in ROS

And transmogrification you got nearly the same thing here but a little different. And yeah rerolling stats is fucking addicting in RoS getting that perfect crit chance 10% for example..costs so much gold and materials.

I played the intro yesterday and then did a couple of side missions with three friends. So far I'm loving the world and attention to detail. It's nice just taking it slow, walking around, see what the civilian npc's are doing, dogs doing there thing, the little touches and small enviromental storytelling elements, other then the audio recordings, echos etc. Also some nice little touches such as the Grow Home boardgame :)

Looking forward to diving in a little deeper this weekend.

Really shocked at how memorable/impactful the story missions ended up being in this. Absolutely great choices of locales and they all are mostly very different from one another. The atmosphere is off the charts.

This game absolutely nails the moment to moment action. Those story missions get intense with 4 high level people playing together. Love it.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they handle it. Wouldnt surprise me if this Incursion ends up being more of a side grade and apart of the same "tier" as the current end game. Then in May when they release the second Incursion and the DZ additions we'll see them move up to a second tier.

I don't think there's a much more satisfying feeling then having a team of guys underestimate you and try to shoot you in the back in the DZ only for you to turn round and wipe them all out before doing star jumps on their corpses.

I had a long flight with some NPCs last night in which 3 guys joined the fight. We took them all out, gave a quick wave to one another and were on our way only for the treacherous fools to try to kill me.

Very much agreed. Didn't expect that at all.

How are the last couple of missions? Do they feel appropriately climactic?

Morning agents.

Quick question; does anyone know how to get that damn echo opposite the camp hudson exit? I unlocked the canine unit last night and there is a marker saying an echo is there but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get to the damn thing :P

From Reddit.

Youtube says you get to open the door after completing all main quests - could someone who has completed all the main missions confirm?

Can someone @lvl 30 post how many of each high-end part you need to craft a high-end primary/secondary weapon? I have enough for the high-end pistol but I want to save up for the main guns first.

Or if someone knows a site that has this information listed, that would be gravy too.

Is the echo in Chelsea? If so it doesn't unlock until you've finished all of the main missions. I spent 30 minutes trying to get to it before Googling it and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.

It basically unlocks a mission to play after all the main content is done and you can grab it then.

edit: as In Service so eloquently put it.

The loot in this game, god dammit.
You spend 2 hours in the dark zone, constantly checking for other players, fighting super hard NPCs with your mates and filling up your stash.

then you go back to a safe house and check the spoils of war and when you sift through the 30 items and find those 2 or 3 upgrades that have JUST the right stats you want, it feels great.

Since we love to compare, the loot is a lot more satisfying than in Destiny.
While overall the Destiny guns, especially the exotics are obviously more "special" most of them are also useless and never used in a "real" situation.

In Division I feel that won't happen too much cause loot isn't "fixed"
