Being able to re-roll gear stats in the tech wing is a god send. You can up your DPS by a few thousand in a couple of seconds (at the expense of other attributes)
Thanks everyone for the suggestions about the build. Very happy to hear that everything is changeable and nothing is set in stone, so that I can play around with different builds as I see fit.
Actually hate it when games/rpgs somehow lock you to a specific role/talent through skills and upgrades.

Good lord I cheesed the FUCK out of the boss in the
mission.
I saw this big dude come at me and I was like "NOPE" and used the rope to go back up to the top floor and sniped him from there.
Interesting tidbit - if you wait too long their armor/health bars will reset.

For my particular build, yes. Stamina and firearms and not a lot in electronics for me.

Man, this game is legit. Played the beta on PS4, and did very little for me when not playing with my mates. After reading this thread, and talking to my friends, ended up grabbing it for my high-end PC, and boy is it a world of difference. So damn immersive. Grabbed the season pass after two hours. Loving every second of it.
I'm lvl 15 and have 10k HP right now.

It's great isn't it? Had a few moments last night where my health was almost done, my heal abilities were recharging and had no medi-packs. Cue running away and taking cover, erecting the auto-turret and camping for dear life. About 4 cleaners had me suppressed for about 15 minutes, clinging on for dear life. Managed to turn the tide and pick them off, one by one.
Really satisfying.
So I decided to venture in the Dark Zone today on a whim the other day, hearing all these insane rumours of how dangerous it is.
Did my first ever extraction solo, there was another team also extracting and they did absolutely nothing at all. I was bewildered, I thought the idea was to fight each other for loot. But we were quite civil about haha!
This morning I woke up to play before work (I know it's gotten to that stage!) and got my ass sniped from behind when I was taking on some Rioters by a Rogue agent no less, i was like D: .. When I get back from work .. REVENGE!
Shit, I love this game.

Why is the DZ impossible to solo at 30?
Yep I have one and its broken as hell, dont even need the cover system I just walk around like a boss.

Hell its hard all around. Seems they definitely kicked up the difficulty notch since the betas.
Wonder when we'll get an explanation as to why we can control someone with a controller.

That's awesome. Love intense moments like that in these types of games. Its what's missing from most MMOs, in my opinion. I also like the little world building touches. I walked around a corner, and saw two flame thrower guys toying with this poor guy crawling along the ground, begging for mercy. Was a big "whoa" moment for me.
Looking forward to running some missions tomorrow. Reading that the match making is really good was a big part of me jumping on, can't wait to put it to the test.

That's also how you build a bridge to get over it if you have a problem with enemies being able to absorb bullets

The way items & stats work clicked last night. Visually the way it uses green/red brackets should be obvious but it wasn't all coalescing for me. It has now. One in our group is all in on DPS so I've been boosting health and skill for healing and defense.
We're level 10/11 now - so trying out the DZ tonight.

I'm only level 6 and did a side mission today which contained sooooo much loot! Got my first load of blue gear and a blue gun. It absolutely destroys the enemies at that level!
I can't help but kill every enemy I find in the world, even if they haven't even noticed me and I'm on my way to a mission... Does everyone so that or do you generally ignore them?

Agreed. The one in the underground station is quite close to the bone in how it depicts violence. The stuttering of the footage covers up any awkward animation/hides it being gratuitous.

They come available at level 30, highlighted on the map by animated border around mission location indicator. Then you just set difficulty to Daily Hard or Daily Challenge.
Edit:
High-end gear is best stuff, legendary gear he is referring to is purple rank stuff which is step below of high-end.

Has anyone had a problem with the canine unit?

You say that yet I find them to be the best PvE weapon inside of 50m and by a large margin. My 2nd slot always SMG except in a full group where I might switch out to a shotgun since I can get guaranteed pointblank flanks.

Are we expecting encounters on the map to reset at any point? Just clearing the final two areas now(side missions and encounters) and the thought popped into my head...
I can see them doing it as another means of farming credits, but does excess tech resources(since all my tech trees are 100%) even useful?

Steyr AUG disagrees with this views. It rips through NPC's in DZ30 quite nicely and efficiently. You just need to have good crit chance and damage for SMG's to shine.

I feel a bit silly about asking but I have no clue how stats correlate to builds. Would you mind elaborating about this a bit?
Firearms > DPS build?
Stamina > Medical Build?
Electronics > Tech Build?
