There's an Echo in Chelsea across from Camp Hudson Hub to the East I can't seem to get to. It looks like it's in a building, but no entrances on that block on ground or roof level. Is it something that opens up in a mission later on?

You have to finish the story first to get there.

This is how every play session goes:

"Hm, I should finish a couple of missions so I can keep leveling up. But let me just stop by the DZ vendor to see what they have in stock."

5 hours later....

"Welp I guess I should leave the DZ and start doing some missions. Wait, how is it 2 am? Oh well, no missions tonight."

DZ is so much fun, and I got some pretty sweet loot. My DPS nearly doubled without me gaining a single level.
Opposite for me.

"Let me get higher ranked for DZ. Ill try a mission on hard setting with some friends. Honey i should be done in like 10 min then we can catch up to our shows."

1am. 1 hour spent roaming almost 2 hours doing Medical Wing mission.

I got my Sleeper Agent edition this afternoon.

Oh boy, I'll just install this in about a half-hour and then it'll take about 4 hours to download the patches with my slow internet but I should be able to play this evening.

Put DVD in. Been installing at 4MB/s.

Thanks for the replies about what Armor is. :)

Just something else I need clarifcation on.

I loot a gun thats 7K DPS and 1088 DMG

I craft a gun thats 4K DPS and 1500DMG

Which is the better one to go for?

My mind tells me the 7K DPS, but surely DMG would be better?

(These are just made up numbers, but a situation has occured and I'm confused on what is best.)
Depends on what you need from that slot. I usually have one high damage gun(sniper or shotty) and one high dps gun. I start fights with the high damage gun picking off one or two quickly, then switch to dps to finish off the fight. Damage is always better for snipers due to headshots.

Is it worth crafting weapons early on? Or should I save the parts for later? I'm only level eight right now, but I have been using the same rifle for a while now.

When you craft weapons are they always your level? Does it seem like the game favors weapons that are dropped, crafted or bought? (In terms of having better stats)

I've been running a SCAR-L and SRS for the longest time and they are just such a nasty combination.

I don't even know if shotguns are viable in PvE endgame, i mean, you can barely peak out of cover and you helath drops by 2 almost instantly, it's insanely risk, unless you can one shot npcs

They showed up for me as soon as I was 30, which was before I had finished all the missions. They just highlight on the map, little ring around them. Take not of the difficulty which they say gives rewards, cause right now 2/3 give rewards for hard and one of them rewards challenge mode. Unfortunately they are literally just the same story missions you've been doing on rotation.

Cool, sounds kind of like a Nightfall in Destiny. Should feel right at home when I get to it :D

For me right now it's DPS > everything else.

I like high RPM weapons, and normally go for quick reload mods to increase dps even further. Seems I end up doing way more damage this way, and enemies go down much quicker.

The only exception is my side arm, that I would prefer to have more damage and less DPS. I've been using the magnum that I crafted around level 14 I think.

Depends on how accurately you can land shots with each. Say the one with the lower DPS is much more accurate with lower recoil and longer range.... and the one with higher DPS is jumpy AF and it's more difficult to control. If you think about it in an in-game firefight situation you'll likely kill enemies much quicker with the weapon you're landing the most shots with if they're not too far away.

I'm level 15 at the moment, and from what I've seen up until this point the weapons that have dropped have had better stats than any weapons I've been able to craft, with one exception that there was a brief window where I could craft a marksman rifle that had better stats then the best drop I had.

Of course, as soon as I crafted it the very next boss dropped a marksman rifle that had better bonuses and 700 higher DPS. I imagine the really good recipes aren't until max level.

Level 30 + 100% of Story, Side Missions & Encounters completed. Haven't got half the gear others around similar play times in this thread have so I must be missing a few things that I should be doing but oh well. I have done the two dailies on Hard for today but haven't attempted the challenge mode one. Also haven't spend any time in DZ at 30 yet so maybe that's the difference.

Is this how the game is supposed to look in that menu? I figured that was a bug because my guy becomes a silhouette

The PC community for this game has been excellent thus far. No squeakers, no one playing obnoxiously loud/bad music in the background, no one with shitty mics turned up too high, and all willing to work together.
Been playing on pc have yet to hear anyone say anything. All i see is text chat. And the usuall racist bs.

Best way to get new clothing?

I grabbed several pieces going into lower level dark zones in just a couple of minutes so I suspect this is the best way to obtain new outfit pieces.

Looking at the SRS and the lack of a long barrel is so deceiving. It's a beast. M1A for life though.

I am absolutely loving the M1A. I have that paired up with a Super 90 shotty. If I need to, I will switch out the M1A with a 12x scope with my M4 with a 3.4x scope. That covers close, mid, and long range.

I have found giving stuff to civilians works well.

Pretty sure you have to group up to hear mic chat.

Will agree with the PC community being ace so far, there's been several times where I have gotten downed in the DZ and a random player will run up and revive me.

Whenever a civilian on the street wants something, give it to them. Like 90% of the time you get clothing. Also later on you can unlock a clothing vendor at the BoO.

So I've been playing this for a while, reached level 12, I'm enjoying the game.. but not really enjoying it and here's why:

The shotguns. I judge a game by its shotguns and this one probably has the most underwhelming shotguns I've ever used in a video game.

An enemy is about to die, I get close and personal, blast one right in his face.. and he just collapses in his place. This is not how shotguns work, this just makes them so unsatisfying to use. There's no oomph, no rhyme, and I don't know if I can continue on.

I personally get a really big kick out of maining shotguns in this game. A good 6 shot pump with high DPS can rip up groups of dudes. Pair with a nice assault rifle and turret and you are messing groups up.

What do you have to do to get it? Just killing mobs?

Named bosses drop them in the level 30 DZ, fastest way to get PC I think. Fastest after that is probably running the UN mission on hard, I know challenge gives far more, but it's so easy on hard that you'll have done it several times on hard before you've done it once on challenge mode unless everyone already has insane loot (but by that point, what's the use of farming at all? :P)

I saw a guy shooting dogs in the DZ and i litterally wrecked his shit :)

Fuck the rats tho

I live in Manhattan and can confirm ubi nailed the nyc wildlife, and by wildlife I mean the sheer amount of rats (both land and airborn) running around at all hours of the day.

A few questions...

1) If I decide to go into the Dark Zone, and go rogue.... can you leave the Dark zone and reenter at a later time without being rouge? In other words... does the rouge thing reset once you leave the Dark Zone?

2) Is this game rewarding for people that like to explore? Can you find a bunch of loot if you like to explore and walk around looking in every place possible.

3) I see that I got a green drop, but I also saw something about rarity levels and the colors were different then the drops I was getting? Are there 2 different sets of rarities?

I need to hit up the DZ later with a squad from here.

1) One you are Rogue you are on a timer. Unless it ran out or you get killed you can't leave the DZ.

2) There are hidden chests in the environment.

Is this worth buying if I can't put a lot of hours in everyday? I feel like I won't be able to keep up, level-wise, and the community will leave me in the dust.

So does the game not really care how you get your gold/yellow drops? DZ loot, crafting, buying, and challenge mode offers the same random stats? I would assume drops and challenge mode stats would be a lot better than other methods.

Most of the game is pure PvE and the dark zone is locked off by level, you've got nothing to worry about.

This game is Diablo with guns and I love it

Lol that comment made me push the buy button. Couldn't wait and used my Visa to buy it for the PS4. Hope to play later tonight after work, supper and it downloads. Surprised it allowed me to buy it from my phone as I had issues in the past.

If you like, send me an friend invite. PS4 name is colonel_clutz (yea it's terrible).

The Dog Whisperer.

Doing the lords work my friend *brofist*

I had a side mission to do in the subway. There were a bunch of birds inside, and when I approached them they flew up and right through the ceiling.

It was magical!
