But there's a particular side that has more power and force behind themselves than the other.

And the other side is continuously pushed down by the first side, and has been for years. So the weight of one side pushing is far more forceful than the other.

So while it isn't right if anyone does it, mister #alllivesmatter, the scales aren't even in the least. These protesters are merely trying to equalize everything and reach that perfect world shit you think you live in.

I'm proud of my upbringing, my social circles, my friends, and the fact that me and mine never have or will judge someone negatively based on race or deny someone an opportunity because of race.

Hi!

Racism isn't "making jokes." It's a consciously and unconsciously designed system of disenfranchisement and subjugation. Sometimes people make jokes, too, sure, but mostly it's about the disenfranchisement and subjugation and dehumanization and outright destruction of others not like you.

When the state of affairs is that, e.g., white American people are demonstrably more valued and more protected than black or brown American people in the aggregate, "jokes" made by the latter about the former aren't so much jokes as they are momentary levity in the face of intractable human horror.
