Dickbats failed several times and had lots of weaknesses. Right off the bat Damian bailed him out in a corporate meeting because he doesn't understand business. He then got beaten by Two-Face.

BP really sounds like a Mary Sue, which is boring.

I think he'll come short in at least one fight or encounter in the film.

I forgot where I saw this but someone noted that every time there was any emotion that needed to be shown in a Spider-Man movie, he had to take his mask off. It was kinda ridiculous, especially in the first Amazing Spider-Man (which I liked), how much he was running around without the mask.

That's just bad direction imo. You can show plenty of emotion without having to remove the mask, it's just a bit more difficult. In Spidey's case, the eye aren't a necessity, but are a nice touch. If no one questioned his eyes moving in the comics, is it really that big of a deal in film? Especially since they seem mechanical, and aren't just moving around like Deadpool's. I'm glad Marvel is at least attempting it, really separates them from previous live action Spidey's.

That's a damn good answer.

Check this one too:

Comparisons will be rather drawn with Deadpool, due to being fresher on everyone's memory.

I hope the excellent action sequences from The Winter Soldier influence this movie. That shit was a league above most other superhero movies and it made their action sequences hard to watch. I hope the competition steps it up as well(DC seems to already be doing this with Batman. A good sign of things to come.)

Well the same guys who did Winter Soldier are doing this movie.

You probably shouldn't watch this film if you're gonna be salty about Bucky getting that work from BP.
Cap literally killed that man. Broken spine and then drowned. Shame shame shame!
That ENTIRE scene of Cap's infiltration of the ship was so damn good. And the stealth suit? Godlike.
Every time I see this gif, all I hear is Falcon saying "Ka-KAW!!!!!!!" right as he kicks him.
I like Ed Wuncler's "Ki-yaaah, bitch!" there, myself.

Is it wrong to think the best incarnation of T'Challa is filling in for Matt Murdock under the disguise of a diner manager?
I don't really like all the drama associated with Illuminati bullshit and Panther Gods and child soldiers/brides and Royal family nonsense all covered. Just an honest and smart man in a black suit, trying to make Hell's Kitchen a better place.
That's why I hope the movie shows him getting owned to the point of having to flee to New York and join the Netflix crowd.

I'm hoping the Russos use his superior combination agility, reflexes and strength in the fights. I'm thinking Tony Jaa levels of bad-assness.

I'd like to see the spider-sense more obviously involved in fights. Normally it's just used for the first suckerpunch and then the rest of the fight looks pretty straightforward. I want to see it used throughout to dodge things that a normal person couldnt conceivably see coming.

I would also like to see more spider-inspired influence. Remember that scene in ASM1 when Spidey was crawling all over the Lizard wrapping him in web and his movements were really sort of creepy and spider-like? Or how about when he was legitimately hanging out on a web feeling for vibrations? That sort of thing was awesome. He's not Spider-Themed-Man, he's Spider-Man.

Sounds like you want Nighthawk instead of Black Panther.

You're in luck though!

Sounds like you want Batman.
But yeah it is wrong.

Don't think that'll be the case with Whedon not involved in this.

And what do you mean by grounded in regards to the MCU?

Winter Soldier was all about trained soldiers versus trained soldiers, and the action scenes reflected that with all the hand to hand. Civil War involves characters like Iron Man, Ant Man and Scarlet Witch who are more suited to the more special effects heavy Avengers style action scenes.

I keep forgetting that Vision and Wanda are in this movie.

I guess... have faith?

The success of the action in Winter Soldier was as much about their approach to action and the way they blocked, staged and shot it as it was the particular characters involved. That approach will carry over to Civil War.

People who don't know what jobber is have taken the word and made it something else.
Can't be any worse than what anime fans describe it as.

Jobber = character that is weaker than everyone else
This is wrong.
For example: Yamcha is a jobber, he loses to EVERYONE.
This is wrong.
The real jobber in the world of Dragon Ball is Vegeta since he's really powerful, yet ends up losing due to plot.

Uh, not sure that's accurate. An actual jobber is literally enhancement talent. They go in there to get annihilated to sell an upcoming threat/talent. So Yamcha would apply.

Now, there is a lesser used term Jobber to the Stars. Aka the Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, and honestly, Dean Ambrose slot. That's where Vegeta would be.

Yamcha was a jobber pre-z the plot in the tournaments put him against the opponent that was gonna end up winning on the end on the first round every time.

Cap had a movie streak of 2, with throwing guys out of a flying ship with no parachute, unless you want to count "himself jumping out of the quinnjet at the beginning of TWS", then that streak is 3.

Raised webbing aside, I still think ASM2's spider suit blows the new one out of the water.

I think they're both near-perfect adaptations on very different styles from the comics. ASM2 feels a little more like modern Spidey, but for me the Romita Sr./Ditko stylings of the Civil War costume fit so much better with him interacting with other Marvel heroes.

Basically they could have just rehashed the ASM2 suit with some minor changes and I would have been thrilled. But they tried something a little different and really nailed it IMO.

the ASM2 suit is basically the Raimi suit with huge eyes, just feels lazy IMO. They tried something different in ASM1 (to varying degrees of success) which was admirable.

The MCU suit is perfect in every way

Agreed, even the hexagon pattern of the fabric is the same. Plus that awful spider on the chest. It also feels too "velvety" I guess to me? But that said, I honestly hated the ASM1 suit design wise so my problems with the ASM2 suit are admittedly nitpicky. Just shows how much they got right in 2002.
