What villain would you like to see in the Marvel-produced Spider-man movie?

Mr.negative would be great, his powers are cool and they work in some good visible effects

Mysterio, Kraven, Mr. Negative, Tombstone or Kingpin would be interesting. Mysterio and Mr. Negative are probably the ones I want to see the most.

In general I feel like "Black Suit Spidey" and "Venom" need to be separate movies. This is part of what Spider-Man 3 got wrong. The scene with Brock finding the symbiote in the church should have been the end of the movie or the post-credits stinger.

I've been saying this for almost a decade now and it's true. Instead of wasting Venom in the same film and tacking on another useless 30 minutes of runtime, Spider-Man 3 should have went right to credits at the end of the scene of the symbiote taking over Harry.

That camera motion zooming into his mouth would have been the perfect transition to credits.

Spidey probably has the best roster of villains besides Batman. I'd like to see them avoid villains that the Tobey and Garfield movies used (Green Goblin being the one exception).

--Kingpin
--Kraven
--Mysterio
--Scorpion
--Shocker
--Vulture
--Black Cat

The only two retreads I'd like to see are Venom and Electro. Venom needs redemption and I want a live action Electro in that goofy ass costume.

Yep, movie should have absolutely ended here. I would have even forgiven Spider-Man 3's mediocrity if Spider-Man 4 would have given us a great Venom.

I think you start the movie with the enforcers and then the main baddie is scorpion. All attempts from the kingpin to take out Spider-Man. That or mysterio

I like seeing other posters saying Mysterio.

How could you not want to see this guy on the big screen?

Mysterio has been my favorite of Spidey's rogues gallery since I was a kid. C'mon Marvel, give me a big screen Mysterio! It works for an opening bad guy too!

I expect them to use Venom and Green Goblin again over the course of the new series. Venom to "do it right" this time, with Stormin' Norman Green Goblin as the main villain of the entire series.

I kinda want them to do Norman in the first movie so that he can be in James Gunn's Thunderbolts in phase 4.

I'd like to see a mix of old and new.
Kingpin should be the main villain with a couple of enforcers (maybe Vulture and Shocker) just to give Spider-Man a physical threat.

They should also introduce Harry and Norman Osborne early as a background character for use in future sequels.

Agreed.

Actually, on that note, if Spidey is in Avengers 3 I wonder if they'll use that movie as the chance to give Spidey the black suit.

Him getting the suit during Infinity War seems like the best way to keep it from treading Spiderman 3 "he's a jerk to his friends!" territory. Spiderman movie -> get suit in Avengers 3 -> Spiderman movie with venom.

I am more a classic guy

so Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, Mysterio, Shocker, Sandman, Lizard are all fine.
Beetle has a crossover potential between Spider-Man and Ironman

I don't want Kingpin because he is not Super Human and he is tied with the Daredevil Netflix series already

I don't want Kraven because he is my lest favorite classic villain and looks stupidest

Kraven's Last Hunt is a REALLY good story, and better than pretty much all of Spidey's non-Goblin villain arcs.

Kraven's Last Hunt doesn't really sound like "first Spidey movie villain."

(If they wanted to do KLH, they should cast Kraven and have him appear as a side character for a movie or two and then do KLH.)

Kraven would be a perfect to face off with tiny High School Spidey. His big hunt turns out to be some smart alack kid. You could run through some cool fight scenes with lesser villains in the beginning to show off just another day in the life of your friendly neighborhood Spiderman and build up the allure that draws Kraven to New York.

I wish ASM didn't ruin the Doc Connors/Lizard story line. That Jekyll and Hyde storyline would be a ideal for young Spiderman.

Since Peter's going to be portrayed as particularly young they should use the Vulture as a foil to that angle. Plus I want to see them try to take a character who's only real ability is "flying with wings" and make him into an interesting villain.
