Uncharted 4 has gone gold

I wonder if people will believe Sony and Naughty Dog now when they say that the delay was to make sure that they can meet demand rather than it being behind schedule?

I am ready

I look forward to them halting, and pushing the date 2 weeks back. lol

I certainly don't.

The fact that it went gold already does add credence to the fact that perhaps they were having manufacturing issues. They would have easily been able to make April 26th. Personally, I still believe it had to do with spoilers though.

Which part?

An open world ND game. I mean, if that's what they really want to do then I'd support it. But, I've never heard anyone indicate that they'd like to stray from the kind of tight storytelling linear games allow for.

So I am supposed to sit here holding my dick for two months?!?!!

Druckman!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bruh, you can do more than just hold it. In fact, there's a whole section of the internet that makes that activity a lot more fun. Just get a shower ready to wash the shame off in case you find out you like the really awful shit.

It's a sad day but I'm glad it's the last Uncharted game. Enjoy your vacations, ND employees
after that day one patch

50GB of greatness await. Hope for a happy ending.. I wants to shed man tears...

It's still odd to me. I'm sure the WW launch has a lot to do with it, but I don't think I've ever heard this reasoning before. Internal preorder data and expectations must be off the charts honestly.

Wish we had more info lol

"Hello PlayStation Nation, I have some bad news for you today. Due to coffee being spilt on a packaging machine we must delay Uncharted 4 by one month.

This move is order to ensure everyone can experience Nate's final experience at the same time and make sure we have a smooth worldwide launch. But with that, I also have good news, The Last Guardian is still coming in 2016. We hope you understand.

Shawn then proceeds to drink out of his Crash Bandicoot cup.

In all seriousness, great to hear it's gone gold. Can't wait to play it.

Weren't the Jak games basically open-world?

So it's not like ND hasn't tipped their fingers into that pie before.

Argh. Knowing it's out there playable, with so long to go is unbearable.

I guess it really is being dragged out on Sony's end. Long time between gold and release.

Mar 17th - May 10th

Could be worse. Because the latest delay conflicts with some prior May commitments, I won't be able to play it till June. Yaaaaaaay...

They also need to take into account the production of the game LE and console LE. Numerous times this gen there have been production issues with LE (most recently with SFV), and I don't think Sony wants that to happen with this game. They want it to be as smooth as possible.

But it seems likely that U4 will be the second Sony published game to sell a million in a month in the US.

Extremely excited. Also kind of disappointed, though, that, with this and then TLoU2 probably in a couple of years, we may not get any new IPs from Naughty Dog this gen.

Good spot, I assume so, they eventually sold TLoU: Left Behind Standalone, so wouldn't be too crazy for them to do it with the HD collection.

i had a double take, first i thought it was the collection and the Collection Demo then read what it saw.

Even if its only digital like Left Behind they would still sell more, like $15 each game. would be a good price.

Very true. Delayed 2 weeks makes sense for production reasons.

We all kinda thought ND would only be doing Uncharted games for PS3 and then TLOU came out of nowhere and wiped the floor.

They have proven to be able to manage more than one game at a time.

edit: unless this gen is cut shorter than last gen

Who wants to bet this game will have a 5 GB Day 1 patch that will patch out all the stolen Ubisoft artwork?
