This is what I get after signing up for a amazon.co.jp account. When I select change country settings japan is not listed as a country I can choose.

Alright, I've done all the steps and bought it on the Japanese Xbox store. How do I go about downloading it? Do I do it on my Xbox one or do it online?

Amazon Japan gives a weird error message when I try to order not to mention the lock outs, Playasia is sold out and the Japanese Microsoft store says my bank refused the transaction even though I'm trying to pay with Paypal. Looks like I'll just have to wait.

One last gigantic fuck you to Bandai Namco. All of the dicks, consume them you useless fucks.

Switch your region back to your home location and turn on your xbox. Mine started downloading immediately.
 
IGN is so smart that they're streaming a "spoiler alert" live video on the front page. Fuck Namco for this non-sense. This launch is a mess.

damn I screwed up changing the billing address. The orders are 'pending' which means that they aren't going through is my guess since my billing address is wrong.

Oroboro if you know who he is, said the game was really easy for veterans of the souls series. Around halfway through the game though, he also said that there was a huge difficulty spike. So it may be super friendly at first and then just shit all over you.

Keep checking your orders it gave me the pending verification as well but i just kept logging in and checking and eventually it went through and i saw my code.

Miyazaki did say that the starting classes start out stronger in this game (although it must be soley gear related since they don't look special stat wise), because he wanted people to spend less time early on having to worry about how to properly adjust stats, and more time actually playing, and feeling like they are actually playing a specific character type; even though that almost never matters end game.

also when I try to put the orders back through, it says "You have an order for this product in process. For your protection we are performing security checks which may take up to 4 hours.

It's DSP, he's the laughing stock of the internet. When it comes to the souls series he always sucks hard at them and blames the developers.

Thanks for confirming. Unfortunately, despite reading plenty of posts here and the reddit guide, I'm still confused as to where to even begin with all this. It feels like all the instructions people are giving are in drips and drabs, some of which is conflicting, and some people say it works for them; others say it doesn't.

A full and detailed guide in the OP would be excellent, or maybe somebody could create a brand new thread with clear instructions (it would help a lot of people, as I can't be the only one struggling).


I apologise for my ignorance, but if somebody could post a foolproof idiots guide that goes through every step of the process, I'd be eternally grateful.

I put in an order for the 10,000 yen with a different CC and the correct billing address. We'll see how this goes.

This sounds like the definition of salt. DSP is a toolbox, but "illegal" - not even. There is no binding agreement between Namco/FS and ANY streamer. It is up to YT/Twitch/etc. to snipe streams.

I managed to get mine refunded by contacting support, then bought it front he JPN store.

I'm still at work, but it looks like everything went through properly. Gotta go home and download it now to make sure everything is cool!
 
The amount of spoilers is worrying, there are videos from every fucking boss, every area, fuck this shit, release the fucking game already >:(
