Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

large titanite shards must not be what takes your weapon past +3, then, because I've killed multiple of those big lizards and gotten their drops

anyway the ring is this. equipping this ring makes my rolls smoky.

You will pick up some random large shards as you go through. Hopefully the merchant will sell them later. You and I are at the same place in the game!

BTW-There's another ring that's the same as yours but has a red jewel. The descriptions is something like "improves your rolling but weakens defenses." I can see the defense stat debuff in the menu but I am not really seeing any change to the roll. Not sure if it improves iframes and just decreases stamina usage.

Not sure if posted already but you get a big rugged sword by giving 10 thingies(item you get for defending the forest) to the covenant leader. Hopefully I can get to 20 tonight!

I found this really interesting long sword. It's fast, it has long reach, it has a cool moveset, and it scales C str D dex, with 16str 15dex req

CLICK THIS WEBM for an example of its moveset and my smoky rolls

So, how I reach to
impresoned lady, that the guy with the big mace is guarding?

you need to get umbral ash from the graveyard up to the left of where the big spear things are being thrown down, shortly before the tree boss

give it to the lady in firelink then she'll sell you a $10,000 key. take the key to the rat sewers and open one of the doors with it. it leads to there

theres an item in the graveyard in the area where the huge arrows attack you/the enemies. take that to the lady who asks for ash in Firelink, she'll sell a new key for 1,500 souls. Use that key on the locked gate near the giant rat near the dilapidated bridge bonfire and follow that route

Thanks, turns out I
had the key
but didn't make the connection, should have checked the description with the app lol

I don't get how you find (NPC Spoiler)
Patches
in
Firelink Shrine.
I got to the Firekeeper Soul and everything really early in the game because I farmed (before Vordt, thus), and didn't see him nor or a cinematic play out...
So now I go back upstairs after reaching the Road of Sacrifices and try to find him but to no avail...where exactly does he show up? :/

aggghh

yep there's
black knights
. that's a
black knight
I just killed

and darkwraiths are absolutely awesome in this game. they go ham on anything and everything. it's so fun watching them wipe out whole areas

I've only seen the final boss. I wouldn't be the best answer. But, that final boss is better and more hype then Ludwig Second form. I thought Ludwig Second Form was impossible to top, I was wrong.

How long did it take you to finish? Did you play the early JP (3 days ago) version or started just yesterday when it went out worldwide?

Okay, I'm still fairly early on, but I have no idea where to go next...

I finished the Cursewood and rode that elevator upstairs, made friends with the giant and did the little sequence with Siegward. Then I explored that area, made it through the house with the two witches atop and ended up in a tower that seemed to just lead to a long fall of death. So I boned back and the only place where I think I could go next is past the monster when you take the elevator down, but that guy is a fucking jerk. Is that where I'm supposed to go next?

so about a certain turtle like character :

why is he lying on the floor ? i assume hes dead but what happened ? i dont remember killing him lol

Yes.

Guys what level were you at
Undead Legion
? Is 27 to low?

Can someone point me in the right direction after c
athedral
of the deep? There was a mention of a s
nowy tow
n by someone but ive missed that completely i think.

This is the Dark Sword from Dark Souls 1. It's a cool sword but it's very short so it was not very popular in PVP. It's super stylish though!

I'm still on the hunt for something that I *like* that is also cool and scales well with strength. it's hard.

still using mace +3 at level 33. (have 22 str 14 dex 16 faith atm)

again, if ANYONE figures out how to get a basic weapon past +3, please tell

and again, if ANYONE figures out how to turn in sunlight medallions, please tell

Third boss is really difficult for me. Playing as a no-armor athletic axe man.

you need to get umbral ash from the graveyard up to the left of where the big spear things are being thrown down, shortly before the tree boss

give it to the lady in firelink then she'll sell you a $10,000 key. take the key to the rat sewers and open one of the doors with it. it leads to there
The key is $1500

A lot of people like the Butcher Knife in the previous games. Requires 24 STR and has A scaling!

Someone posted a picture on twitter with duplicated rings, but no word on the method yet

They better share. Lol

I can't decide between the (boss weapon spoilers)
wolf knight greatsword
or the
Farron Greatsword.
Figured I'd duplicate the soul and get both. Lol.

Wait, how do you go up the tower?

And yes, you are supposed to go down.

um, I bought the 20k key but it doesn't open the door I thought it would open, the one where the lady who drops the uchigatana is.

so where do I use this tower key?

I don't know, sorry. I didn't really hang around in that area. I know that's where i got them though as that's the last area i finished.

you mean the swamp
full of slugs and other things? the poison swamp?

A lot of people like the Butcher Knife in the previous games. Requires 24 STR and has A scaling!

yeah I found this and thought about it, but it just looks too goofy. fashion is equal to function in my souls plays. I never use any chestpiece that makes my character too thick, for instance, so a lot of sick armor has just gone unused

Slugs dropped them in DS1... But I killed a bunch of slugs and I don't think I got any large shard drops.

I spent a long time killing slugs in that swamp bc I was trying to figure out if it was like in dark 1. never got them to drop any.

there are
ceiling slimes in the next area, though, and I haven't tried to farm them yet but I wonder if they can drop mats. I would guess yes
.

Basically Bloodborne.

IMO it's similar to bloodborne but worse. this shit I just did in this catacombs-like area was just atrocious.

Is there anything to do in Cathedral after beating the Deacons? I can see a place I should be able to get to on the far side of the central room, but I can't find out how to raise the gate so I can walk across to there. I haven't figured out anything else there after beating the Deacons, and I explored pretty thoroughly.

Is there anywhere to listen to the ds3 OST? Might aswel try to get my fill of dark souls nlw without spoiling shit.

Can anyone tell me if there are any tracks on the soundtrack that are musical spoilers, as in strong references to music from previous boss fights or locations?

So far I've only listened to songs I've encountered in game. Kitamura is the best.

Really trying to not read spoilers so Im being careful.

Whats the general impression? Good? God tier? Step down from Bloodborne? Step up?

How is PS4 performance? Better than Dark Souls on PS3? About the same, except at 1080p?

I am on a total blackout. I stopped playing Bloodborne and need to finish it. But it's strange, I have no motivation to. I just think I prefer Dark Souls' open world and variety. One thing I very much dislike about BB is lack of content to find. It made exploration very dull, because I would find the same few basic items.

Anyone willing to state whether they prefer DS3 to BB? Maybe even just comment on the soundtrack? I know some people really fell in love with BB combat and didn't want to go back, curious if people have any strong feelings one way or the other.

Is anyone just.... fatigued from the Souls series after playing DS3? As someone who has less and less interest with AAA games, the Souls games have always been a great joy to me. I felt bad not finishing BB and just chalked it up to liking Dark Souls better

I am also a bigger fan of Estus Flasks to the blood vial stuff in BB.

For what it's worth, it feels very linear to me. It's not like Dark Souls 1, where you can go to Blighttown or Valley of Drakes early on - there are some sidepaths and stuff, but it doesn't look like you can just run into high level areas early on in this one :(

Also, disconnecting the hub from the rest of the game, why was that a smart idea? I really don't like that...

I've heard that
Soul of Cinder is like that.

Looks like it's pretty similar to Bloodborne in that aspect.
