I guess we can rule out Trump capitalizing on this, then. Plus, hasn't tweeted anything in an unusually long time.
 
I have a hard time fathoming how this cycle can go worse for Ted, really.

- GOP already hates him
- Daughter doesn't want him to kiss him
- His father cut a promo for Ted only to give him the most dehumanizing and disappointing glare the entire time
- General smarminess and his look of defeat when he's challenged on issues in the debate
- Booed on late night talk shows
- Now a sex scandal of significant proportions and one that seems to have been bubbling for a while

Sheesh. And we thought "binders of women" was a massive gaffe all those years ago. Cruz is a habitual failure in the public eye to any non-evangelical and even if you are evangelical you may be questioning that.

Kasich is actually the only one who has a chance against Hillary in recent polling in a theoretical matchup according to The Hill. Hilldog crushes both Trump and Cruz in national polling.

No, that's Trump's national campaign spokeswoman.

I doubt he will address the story. Katrina still being a part of his campaign would overshadow whatever benefit he gets from delivering the Cruz-missile.

You misunderstand. I'm not saying she won't be fine in Trump's book. I'm saying that Trump may no longer be fine in HER book if he spilled the beans about her affair to tabloids.

The National Enquirer were the ones that broke the John Edwards and Tiger Woods scandals. The reporter behind this one specifically was behind the John Edwards scandal, so there is a reasonable amount of legitimacy.

Katrina Pierson was hired for her merits or given a staff position as an offset for being available to "disclose" her relation with Cruz?

The Washington Times Twitter is saying that guy tweeting about confirming some of the affairs is not actually a columnist with them and was just a "citizen journalist" who contributed to a "Communities" section. It also tweeted they ended whatever that relationship is with him.

Edit - he was a "former employee" who contributed to that section, specifically.

I'll excuse myself if this seems inappropriate, but I'm italian..
our "political leaders" have an history of backstabbing themselves and public shaming their rivals disclosing "past" tidbits at the ripe times, so for me it's nothing new...
 
I assume that lord Trump is simply waiting for the best moment to pounce.

He's going to bring this up on a national stage and it is absolutely going to hurt Cruz, whether it's true or not.
 
Katrina and Trump probably had a tacit agreement that the Enquirer could leak this but Katrina would deny it and Trump would back her up.

All Trump needs is the story floating out there in the open and he can attack Cruz on the other four women.

It doesn't matter at this point, probably.

If Trump is good at one thing it's manipulating and directing the media narrative. Once he decides to go all in, Cruz is finished.

Yeah, I thought her and Ted were supposed to be buddies. But 2/3 of her sentences are implicating that there might be some truth to the story.

Regardless of the veracity of the article, we can always count on one thing: Ted Cruz has no friends.
