Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

lost 120k souls fuuuuuuck

this game has no place to farm souls like the prev games :/

I thought I found a decent spot earlier, the two
silver knights
on the stairs of
anor londo
directly in front of the bonfire, I was making 10K every 30 seconds for killing both of them with the silver serpent ring I think

I've been saying after 20 hours this is the hardest souls game ever, by a lot, but most people on gaf seem to be saying it's easy. I choose to believe my own lying eyes/hands.
I think it has to do with the speed and unpredictability of the regular enemies. Knowing when to attack is tricky. Prior souls games definitely had slower, more predictable enemies.

i have not found that ring :( where did you find it ?

I guess I missed that area. Where is that?

have you defeated the crystal sage? go to that bonfire and there's a path that leads to that area

eh, so far I think the regular enemies are the most difficult in a souls game, they hit hard and some seem almost relentless with insane attack tracking and they punish you when you heal. Bosses haven't been as challenging for me yet.

the enemies are very aggressive and they have varied combos.
Black Knights are brutal in this game, even the ones with very large weapons may sometimes just suddenly go on for 4 or 5 attacks in their combo. It's extremely hard to guess when the opening is because hteir combos lengths vary so much. Sometimes they instantly launch into another combo without delay and it can almost feel unfair.

I'm playing the patched JP PS4 version, they're saying the unpatched XB1 version has much easier bosses

You've missed a lord, probably the best lord.Which ones have you killed?

The bosses I have killed are
Vordt, Rotted Greatwood, Crystal Sage, Deacons of the Deep, Abyss Watchers, High Lord Wolmir, Pontiff Sulyvahn, and Yhorm

The odds and ends in previous levels seem to have been resolved with small treasures and stuff like that, but I am not finding a way forward.

I'm on PS4 too. So far the boss that gave me the most trouble was Vordt, lol. I think my weapon might be slightly OP for where i'm at though which likely helps a bunch,

I can't remember exactly, had to visit the wiki to sort of refresh my memory
firelink shrine behind an invisible wall in the upper areas iirc

Just killed
Champion Gundyr
~13th boss. Easily the hardest boss of the game for me (as a shieldless player) so far. 23 attempts, next closest was only 9 attempts.

Not really sure where I should be going now though. Any tips would be great.

Follow the area post Pon S.

OHHH. I never noticed that there was a path there. Thanks!

I always felt like
black knights
looked scarier than they actually were in Souls 1. Even on a low level characer you could beat them pretty easily.

This is so not the case in Souls 3. Black Knights are really not fucking around. My first few encounters with them have all been hairy as fuck. Either get real gud at parrying or expect some hairy encounters with some of these assholes.

Is the music orchestrated like in Bloodborne?

Anyone? I'm really curious about the soundtrack. If someone already answered, I apologize, but I didn't see anything.

Or heck, if no one knows the answer.....is the soundtrack at least good? I was somewhat let down by the music in Dark Souls II.

Reposting a question I had earlier...

I took 2 levels off him. I'm scared there's some kind of negative side effect I'm not realising

you get cursed with some kind of hollowing status where you hollow more the more you die. I'm not sure exactly how to fix it but I think it has to do with the firekeeper soul on the roof

Is it known whether there's more content in NG+, like extra invasions/boss souls in DS2 for example?

I've read reports that some people finish the game in
20h easily, I'm very concerned now :( Every other Souls game was 40h+ for blind playthrough, even if you were doing fine on bosses.

This is probably the most linear Souls game if you don't explore. A lot of the extra stuff is off the beaten path people rushing will miss.

How do you beat
the giant lord
I make like no damage ?
gimmick fight, apparently there's a sword in the area you pick up like with storm king in demons souls, charge up the battle art and it does insane dmg

Where's
Onionbro
hiding after Undead Settlement questline?

go to the well right outside of the chapel bonfire in the cathedral of the deep area (though its really just under the cathedral warp area it's actually located near where you arrive at the grave area

Oooh thanks. Will get that ring.

Yes, but because i'm playing the Japanese version i don't know what item you need to do it, i didn't realise you could do it myself until recently. To increase it go to the firelink fire and it's about the 4 or 5th option down, the fire will flash and your estus will have a + next to it. I've got mine to +4 so far.
Yup, that increases the quantity but I need more heal with each flask.

Early days but from what I've listened to so far it's the best Souls soundtrack to date. Really good stuff, especially boss music.

OST is really good, easily the best or up there in the series.

This game is an all around hit. Imagine if DkS, DeS, DkS2 and BB had a baby, extracting exactly the best aspects of each game: You got DkS3.

The series couldn't end on a higher note.

Rosaria's Fingers covenant. You can do it 5 times.
invading covenant - from what I can tell and comments i've read, respec is a covenant reward, I joined and didn't have the option to respec so I imagine I need to offer 5 or something. Cathedral of the deep, it's pretty well hidden
where exactly in the Cathedral? And here I thought I explored everything there.

I want to respec because this faith build is trash so far, and the lady who was selling miracles somehow disappeared and isn't coming back.

Are others playing the PS4 version having trouble being summoned/summoning? I'm wearing the Blue Sentinel covenant now and I keep getting messages that I'm being summoned, but it never seems to go through.

Thank you so much! Can't wait to hear it for myself in a couple weeks.

I can't decide if I should listen to the OST before or after finishing the game myself

Play the game first! Don't ruin it for yourself early!

A lot of invasions I do, I'm usually against 2 o 3 guys, my guess is that people is summoning phantoms and they reach the max numbers, so your summoning is cancelled.

Or people disconnects.

Otherwise I wouldn't know, but I remember wearing the blue covenant and barely getting summons at all...

I've not had any server issues in prior Souls games so I guess it's probably that.

Can anyone tell me how to get to
the nameless king fight?

also,
whats the deal with the gesture you get after the crystal dragon guy? I heard you need to use it somewhere to get access to a secret area
