Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

what's up with that weird enemy
NPC?
in the jail area/cathedral of the deep the one with
the human head on a animal body

nvm, there are a bunch so i guess they're nothing special

OST is really good, easily the best or up there in the series.

This game is an all around hit. Imagine if DkS, DeS, DkS2 and BB had a baby, extracting exactly the best aspects of each game: You got DkS3.

The series couldn't end on a higher note.

After completing it, I agree, beautiful and sad to see it go at the same time. Can't wait to see what Miyazaki and his team do next.

Is there any way I can transfer the ost to usb? I want to listen to it again but not on the ps4.

Is there a covenant for a invading invaders (vengence covenant)? If so where can I get it? The invasions are kind of fun. I was helping out a guy with two others when we got invaded by two reds. In the end it was me and the host left.

I found two spots so far that are just MWAH primo spots for invading

1) the zone with the big worm and the big ballista and all that

2) the zone with the fat witches and the giant tree boss etc

I've gotten tons of kills =)

Since you completed it, I was curious about consistency. Does it fall off a bit like endgame of Dark Souls? Have better end game like Dark Souls II (which had a slow start IMO)? Or is it consistently good like Bloodborne?

I've been watching people play this on twitch, and although I don't know if it's a great game, it looks like a billion times better than Dark Souls 2.

For me it was the opposite, it pulled me in more so this time around. I feel like the areas and bosses get so much better towards the later half of the game.

You mean Blue Sentinels?

Where is a good zone for this? I have tried wearing that badge and waited and waited, even in the zones I've been raided in. The online can be a spotty though (I get the "summon failed" message several times when trying to get people to help). I saw one blue one time but the host and I killed the invader right when he showed up.

Fuck, the game has bugged out for me.

I killed A
ldrich
. After carelessly starting a new boss fight by touching an item in the boss room, I used a homeward bone to teleport out. After that, a bonfire location appeared in the room (but I never touched it). Teleporting there, the room has changed a lot (I assume, post second boss fight effects, and there is a bonfire there). But obviously, I never got a chance to fight the second boss. I got no item from the boss.

Is this a game breaking state due to missing out on some item that I need later?

So you skipped
dancer?
, you should be able to go back to that thing and progress

covenant spoiler/question
the darkmoon blade NPC keeps turning me away, not sure why. says my presence will invoke sulyvahn's ire, even though i obviously defeated him to get there. hrm. anyone know if there are any other req. ?

Yeah, I think it was the dancer. When I teleported to the room (which I should not be able to do), it has goo all over the floor and the elevators have activated. The boss fight does not start when I am in the room.

I've got a level 45 character midway through the game (I think? just guessing) on the PS4 JP version. Kind of a str/faith build as I often do, and I've been disappointed by how weak faith seems when built as a hybrid.

Now I must know.

I bought the game from the JP store on Xbox One and downloaded the US version. I plan to start a new game tonight and go all in on faith, raising faith/attunement to a high degree and going all out to find where the good miracles are. We're going to go in hard on faith and go for that lightning spear miracle asap and infuse a faith scaling weapon.

Having everything in english should help in my search. Tired of feeling lost, especially when it comes to materials and rings and quest items/quest dialog options.

How many hours did it take you to finish the game?Did you miss any areas/bosses as far as you know?

@idonteven same question for you lol!

Holy shit, I'm crying. I was expecting a mimic and then you stop and just hear something and turn and it's like just...fucking 6 of those fuckers running at you and you peace the fuck out. Oh my god that was great.

My pants were filled haha.

that chest is a mimic too, i was trying to get a lloyds talisman

Oh yeah, how's durability this time around? Is the frequency of weapon breakage as high as it was in DS2?

I'm using the Uchigatana which has a durability rating of 35, which is half of some of the 'regular' longswords, and I doubt I'll ever need to use Repair Powder. The weapons are much more durable than DS2.

is xbox one easy mode or something ? im watching a streamer and he is getting hit A LOT less than i did on ps4

Well having played both the Xbone and PS4 versions, they feel equal as far as difficulty goes. Although the Xbone version doesn't have the 'day one' patch 1.01 which could contain tweaks to enemies etc. The only major difference I noticed was with drop-rates for Fire Bombs on the Xbone version. The enemies in Lothric were dropping so many Fire Bombs that I filled my inventory and they started going into storage. I ended up with ~35 of them. Not that I was complaining...

Yes, right now

DS3>DemonSouls>DS1>BB>>>DS2

I agree. I'm enjoying this much more than DS1/DS2/Bloodborne. It feels like a fitting finale to the Souls series.

I think it has to do with the speed and unpredictability of the regular enemies. Knowing when to attack is tricky. Prior souls games definitely had slower, more predictable enemies.

I'm a pretty average-tier Souls player, and I've had trouble with certain enemies early on. The knights in Lothric can be a pain, they can wreck you with their 'shield stomp' that drains almost your entire stamina. Unlike DS2 I've found that I can't rely on blocking 95% of the time, I'm finding rolling to be pretty effective in certain situations.
I'm finding back-stabs a hell of a lot easier than DS2 though which is nice, I'm becoming quite good at 'back-stab fishing". I've back-stabbed more enemies in Lothric than in my entire play-through of DS2.

You get there later, you shouldn't miss it, if you want to know more say so. Otherwise I don't want to spoil you.

Well i've explored every area of the game that AFAIK exists, but this fucking thing still haunts me! More info please!

You've tried walking in normally?

D
ancer
is gone. The boss fight does not start when entering from the ordinary door, either. The room is still filled with goo and the elevators are running.

This is the downside of playing the unfinished game, I guess. Fuck. Was the boss fight good? :( Did he drop more items than his boss soul?

Wait what the hell room are you in?
O&S room?

Some of you calling this better than Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne. Man. You're killing me. Gotta' control these hype levels.

I loved DS1 but what lets it down is the final 20% of the game (Izalith, Tomb etc) feeling horribly rushed and not fun whatsoever.

I loved Bloodborne but what lets it down is lack of loot, NPCs and build variety.

DS3 may just be the complete package we've been lusting for since Demon's Souls.

Dudes can anyone tell me how to stream to twitch from XB1? I'm sure I could figure it out but it's always easier to be told

I'm gonna finally check out the game in english and pioneer the first hardcore full on faith build

Based on over 20 hours into the game at level 42

I'm saying yes, I believe this to be the case. The ultimate Souls. Also the hardest game in the series, IMO.

DUDE what the hell boss spawned? i think you may have stumbled upon an unfound boss by accident, please explain in detail what happened

After completing the Aldrich fight, I was left in the same room that the boss happened in. I got the souls and items for the Aldrich fight as usual. There was no bonfire in the room, which surprised me. A woman (I think) was lying on the floor in the front section of the room. Talking to her initiated a boss fight. The boss climbed from the roof and ended up on the floor, crawling in my direction. The doors into the room closed. This made me panic quite a bit, because I didn't want to lose the souls from the Aldrich boss fight. I quickly used a homeward bone. In all the stress, I didn't register the actual name of the boss. There was a boss life meter as usual, though.

There we go.

And after 15:44 of playtime in 1 day, time to call it a, uh, morning.

I'm just running around in circles in
the profaned capital
anyway lol.

Scariest moment so far.
that key didn't open anything for me, idk.

I still have 3 locked doors and I can't find the key for them, in one of those doors there is an npc it seems. the first shortcut door is closed as well, I'm already out of that area but it seems like I missed something.
