Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

Has this been confirmed? I guess I'll have to do another run through from the 12th.

Where is the confirmation for this? I've compared boss fights I had to PS4 footage on YT and the damage numbers in relation to the health bar as well as the progression of boss fights was exactly the same.

The confirmation can come from anyone who's played both versions. I can tell you.. the Unpatched Xbox One version is palpably easier.

"We would like to take this opportunity to inform Dark Souls III fans that any gameplay they may experience prior to the official April 12th release date for the game will not be complete," the company said. "The international version of the game currently does not have its multiplayer capabilities activated, nor does it include the contents of a planned day-one patch that will deliver further optimization of the game. Players will be able to download the day-one patch on April 12th, the official international release date for Dark Souls III."

Sigh, I already have 2 books to give to the miracle NPC and 1 or 2 to give to the wizard npc to get access to new miracles/spells, but the NPCs aren't present in the shrine...

I think I had the miracle one for a second, but she got angry at me and disappeared (I didn't attack her).

Might help,
I found the Miracle chick and her "guardian" at the doorway leading away from the tutorial boss

I found a Kylo Ren set woot.

5 bosses down and I'm on my 6th...this game is starting to get kinda insane.

The C
athedral
area might be the most complex area I've seen in any of these games. The pathways, the length, the shortcuts...jesus.

Biggest sorespot playing without online enabled on XB1 is not being able to see messages, which I'd always use to spot hidden walls. I pretty much have no chance in hell finding any until the patch hits.

Do you want to go ng+, you probably don't before you check if you've found all bosses areas etc

I ended up saying yes to the
bonfire
question before reading your post and thankfully that was just for
linking the fire
.
It wasn't the ending I wanted but I'll replay the game a lot more times anyway so it doesn't really matter
. The question for NG+ comes after the credits; the japanese text contains a "2" and the answer defaults to "No" so it seemed pretty obvious what it was for haha

Yeah I really loved that area. Shortcuts everywhere!
The boss had a cool gimmick too and surprised me.

Although, there was guy earlier in this thread that said it was obvious the area was designed by the B-team because of its shit level design lmao

Bullshit. I have both versions, and there's no imperceptible difference in difficulty between the two from what I've played...

That's the small one, but it is the first you should go to. The other two are big areas.

I take it by
shaky bridge you mean the one in the catacombs? I should stand on it and fall?

there are many gestures that looks like sitting. which one and where should I use it? pic of it?

edit: holy shit about that bridge. and people say it's not welll hidden? lol I thought it was brilliantly hidden

Okay, I suddenly have a much less underpowered time now that I realize armor helps with shield stability. :P

I never had to consider shields to any deep extent in prior games!

I still only scraped by the last fight though by JUST being able to take one extra shield blow, and then learning basically its entire pattern and beat it almost without damage. I don't have time for that with each boss, damnit.

Love the game as always (but I do have a life)

I'm trying to help a friend out but my memory is crap. I can't remember where I got
the regain HP ring from

You need to use the upright with legs crossed sitting emote next to that stone dragon in the tower of latria looking area with those weird women wearing branding irons
.

Well that rabbit hole is pretty deep, + you will know which one to use , when you figure out where to use it.

Can someone please help me get to the lower area in the (earlyish area)
Undead Settlement
? I can see enemies down there but can't find a way to safely get down.

Oh my fucking days.

Enemy and optional area spoilers
Just found a new area with a massive worm in the Catacombs. Is this Lost Izalith or Ash Lake? They look a bit like Arch Trees.

Shiiiet. The more i play it the more i'm sure; best in the series. A lot of Dark Souls 1 fans are about to have a new favourite.

how much of the game (%) have I played, roughly?

I've beaten the Borealis Knight, the Cursed Tree, the Crystal Sage and I'm currently exploring the Cathedral of the Deep. Played for roughly eight hours.

not even close to the end,maybe 20%- 25% ?

How did you get there?

Btw, in the catacombs, at the ropebridge that you can cut down (when all the skeletons come raiding in), is there a way to get to the bottom of the area, where all the loot is lying around?

Also, I have no idea where that second Firelink Shrine is that you guys are talking about. And I already killed the god-devouring thing and the Dancer.

Fuck right off. 5 hits from killing the final boss, 4 flasks handy, and got kicked offline. Go kill yourself Fromsoftware. That was my 20th boss attempt,

thanx

it will take me to this gorgeous
sunny
area?

the so called nameless boss is there?

after 50+ hours in this huge game, I'm kinda tired of exploring -__-

thanks!

I can't believe how much better this game is than Dark Souls II. It's probably just lowered expectations, but man, I'm very happy.

That's the area i'm talking about, once the bridge is cut it becomes a ladder. You can get down to the loot from there.

Goddamn, I even thought this might be the case and tried standing there before,
but the A hint never appeared. You to wait quite some time until the animation has finished (when it's already been resting still for some time) for the bridge to turn into a ladder. That's some shoddy implementation, From!

I am at more than half past the game, but Yuria still hasn't spawned... even though I have the Dark Sigil (and 99 "hollows") and I haven't cured the curse. Anyone a clue?

Did I read at some point that equipping certain weapons will give you a dodge mechanic like in Bloodborne instead of a roll? Is that true?

Bullshit. I have both versions, and there's no imperceptible difference in difficulty between the two from what I've played...

Can also confirm that there's no differences in damage. The Xbox one version's framerate dips a bit more often though which makes playing it more of a pain.

The XboxOne version has more gracious drop rates and enemies seem less aggressiv.

Yes that is true.

Game complete. Just missing the Nameless King for all 19 bosses.

Absolutely amazing game. Having played all 5 in the series in the past 12 months, this has to be the best experience, best music, and best bosses.

The timing of the music during the C.S. fight was ace.

I've seen someone play a boss on the unpatched 1.00 Xbone version of the game that DEFINITELY was severely nerfed over the 1.01 PS4 version. Night and day difference, like being able to take 5 hits instead of 2.

edit: it was Peeve btw, and he also said on his stream he's sure the 1.00 version is much easier, since he's played both back to back.

Alternative hypothesis: it's his second time playing.
