Dark Souls III [Import OT] Kindle the fire, one last time

So what are your tactics to get to quick enemies, and what are your main weapons, etc? And endurance wasn't a focus until a bit late for me. I feel I get to level like once an hour in this game.

Before i got all smashy smashy a short sword helped a lot actually. not so much with the knight dudes but the stabby pierce move was quick enough to fire a couple off before i had to roll. I haven't raised endurance past 12 yet so not having enough rolls shouldn't be an issue. Which quicker enemies are you talking about?

You all that manage to beat the game, could you please rank the following with just numbers to keep it spoiler free?

Can anyone tell me the location of a
Black Knight
with a
Black Knight
Greataxe, met them before but can't remember where.

I latsed alomst 3 days , game is downloading now... Used the 15% discount code as well which was a pretty good deal. Wonder if they ever patch in the english text like they did with BB.

oh my god just hit the
tower of latria
type place. I mean I've enjoyed the whole thing but it keeps getting better the deeper I get.

Great game overall. Lower score for the graphics because of the bad framerate, some lower res textures, missing shadows for the environment (most noticeable when you're climbing a ladder and you can't see the ladder's shadow — you'll just see your character's shadow climbing in the air) and some other stuff. But artistically it's great.

I think it's just loading the area.

Wait around there for a few moments and they open up.

Shields/Weapons only AFAIK.

Damn, seems like FROM really didn't like the armor upgrades then. At least it gave a little something to spend your shards on when all weapons where upgraded :/

have
watchers of the abyss
and the
Giant lord
, no idea where I need to go to reach
Aldrich
. I guess I should stop anyway since its 5:30 in the morning.

Irithyll seems to be the favored pvp area. I've been farming souls there helping people get to the first boss. One guy I joined got invaded about six times, sometimes by two people. It was pretty much nonstop.

I've been enjoying the online, but I'm a bit confused by it. Sometimes invaders are ignored by the mobs, but once I saw the mobs attack them.

The summoning still fails alot though. I wish I could have teamed up with Bernie Cinders.

So huh guys. I beat what I think is the final boss and I've got a question because for the first time in the entire game not knowing japanese is getting in the way.

When I go to the bonfire it asks a question. What does it ask? Cheers!

DS1 Black Knight
in the
Crucifixion Forest I guess is what this is called

What is he doing here? Oh my

I'm in that area now (well made it to the boss there) where is this fiend located? I'm scared by the thought of it.

I guess the loading times are good since nobody complains about them like in Blooodborne right?

They are better than BB but still a bit on the long side (up to 20s I'd say). Thankfully the PC version apparently has <5 seconds loading times on an SSD.

Sigh, I already have 2 books to give to the miracle NPC and 1 or 2 to give to the wizard npc to get access to new miracles/spells, but the NPCs aren't present in the shrine...

I think I had the miracle one for a second, but she got angry at me and disappeared (I didn't attack her).

Finding the difficulty curve interesting compared to previous souls games.

I'm still very early on, but I've so far found the initial bosses to be easier than their counterparts in the other games.

Instead I've been finding the 'mid-tier' enemies to have been the main source of difficulty, way tougher than their equivalents in the other games.

Seriously starting to get annoyed at these unavoidable wake up attacks.

So fucked up when you get completely chained without being able to do a single thing about it.

Which version are you playing may I ask?

Because the Xbox One version is unpatched and bosses are definitely a fair bit easier than the JPN and PC releases, which have been patched with the Day 1 patch.

Do you want to go ng+, you probably don't before you check if you've found all bosses areas etc

Tbh I'm not bothered about missing secret areas and what not on my 1st playthrough. I normally buy the official guide and use ng+ as my proper exploration game.

Where is the confirmation for this? I've compared boss fights I had to PS4 footage on YT and the damage numbers in relation to the health bar as well as the progression of boss fights was exactly the same.

Has this been confirmed? I guess I'll have to do another run through from the 12th.
