The yelling is a little excessive tho

Game looks great, honestly the motion controls are what's super impressive to me. It just seems so natural.

Its a good question without an answer yet. The main issues with extenders is the amount of lag that could be added. I am sure next week we will have better answers. I am facing the same issue. My study has a 8*6' space that is open already which could be ok. But down in the medai room I have a 20*16' open space. Problem is I dont want to move my pc out of the study. I fear that I will have to make a choice unfortunately eventually as running a set of wires 30' isnt going to work.
For what it's worth I got an email from HTC saying mine is being shiped on the 5th.Any word when these actually ship? Not sure why I am so worried about not going to be able to use it till Tuesday anyhow.
I'm reading some scary shit regarding glasses in the Rift thread, anyone can help me alleviate my worries on that for the Vive? i don't wanna put on contacts just for VR gaming
I've been hearing it isn't an issue from the three long oculus streams I've seen. The vive includes an extra faceplate with additional space for your frames.I'm reading some scary shit regarding glasses in the Rift thread, anyone can help me alleviate my worries on that for the Vive? i don't wanna put on contacts just for VR gaming

With the way my house is designed, I have a fairly decent sized area behind my couch between that and my kitchen, maybe 12'x12'. I have this crazy idea of running HDMI and USB extension cords up through my ceiling and then have them come out of the ceiling motorized. I'm not sure how feasible this is, but I imagine someone has had retractable cables coming out of a ceiling before.
If it's coming from the ceiling then it at least removes the possibility of tripping over the cords.
Kind of like tire shops. Where the air pressure hoses come from the ceiling and are retractable?
Yeah, or the mic for a boxing/mma match!
Someone here on one of these VR threads found something like this neat idea. Using a retractable reel.

Interesting. Here's mine. You mean something like this:
"It would be my pleasure to help you out with the request you have; I took the liberty to check the order status and it shows that the product will be shipped on April luckily under the first batch that will take place on April the 5th. Keep in mind that you would be notified on your email with the tracking number so you would know exactly when the item will be delivered. This is the information that we can provide you at the moment according to your inquiry. Have a nice day!"
i got one of those but it is kind of vague. I have heard april 5 ship and april 5 receive.
Interesting. Here's mine.
"Thank you for contacting HTC Online Store! We have your order number REDACTED for a Vive and your order will be shipped on April 5th. Thank you once again for contacting HTC and if you have any further questions please contact us back and we will be more than glad to assist you. We hope you have a quietly brilliant day.."
As long as I get it during that week I'll be happy.

Gosh I doubt too much that doesn't look to intensive I think. I think you should be ok.
Will this work? They would be 5.5m apart.

So a longer distance between both lighthouses isn't a problem?Thats over 15 ft so yeah that should be fine. Just make sure you bring youe walls in a bit more by your picture and tv.

They might take a day or two to respond, but at least we'll know if it's consistent
$72.54 for me. Because California...
Your distance is only 10% more than the recommended "max". That should be within the error margins they'd provide for a recommendation. So a longer distance between both lighthouses isn't a problem?
How do you mean bringing in the walls a bit more?
So how much space we need? ( in feet, forget thst Meters talk )

Umm how would we tell you then
My room is already small enough (2.3x1.9m)Bringing in the walls refers to virtual walls. Chaperone bounds so you don't go hitting those things accidentally.
I feel like im the only person that doesnt want mine to ship in APril and is hoping my May shipment comes as late as possible. With Pascal probably hitting in late May I wanna have the ability to upgrade before getting my headset.

I don't want to make it even smaller.
1 meter is roughly just a bit over 3 feet so..
What are you guys getting for lighthouse stands? I don't want to mount on walls so looking into stand solutions.
Damn, you're right about that! You'll want to be exceedingly careful then. One wrong move and you'll have a controller through your TV. =/
