on iOS you should be able to go to the Miitomo app section in settings and turn off audio for notifications, I'd assume its similar on Android.

Soo... what happens when you link FB and Twitter to miitomo??

It pulls up a list of all the mutual followers on twitter or fb who have miitomo for you to view. If you click one, it shows you their username and pic on twitter/fb and asks if you want to send them a friend request or block them. It does NOT automatically add people for you, nor does it post to twitter or fb without your explicit permission.

Kills my battery.

God, tell me about it. Btw, in case you don't know: at the very bottom of the Settings menu, there is a Power-Saving Mode.
