When the match stops every single spot they do to have a wrestler babied with doctors the momentum is sucked out of the strong guy. Sure Joes spots looked as tough as always but half t he match was people checking to make sure he was okay. Having the ref check to make sure your okay is something you do for setting up comeback spots and hope spots for the face. You dont stop heel momentum to do it. Should've just let Joe toss em off and roar and act like an animal and rampage in the blood. Would've kept the momentum high and made Balor look better. Balor looked fine mind you, but THAT would've been a legacy thing folks would've remembered.

Could've had a really nice buildup of momentum with a bloody rampaging Samoan Monster whose fury was eventually eclipsed by the monster within Balor. Instead we got a lighter version of them trying to tell that tale by cutting off the Samoan's fury every other second to make certain their monster wasn't hurt.

And right there is the problem with fucking Vince McMahon. He pushes the look NOT the talent.
 
Great show, great crowd, great booking. The insane Nakamura fight took the wind out of the main events but hey, that shit happens.

It's almost as those Asuka wasn't the face when she was matched against the paragon of good in the WWE? If you can't see that the crowd was into the match then I genuinely feel bad for you.

Show was great! The tag match, Nakamura/Zayne and Bayley/Asuka were all exceptional. The main event was great but the no blood rulings really need to die.
 
Man... it really is sad when it's all downhill from here till Raw. I don't think there'll be anything at Mania that'll top the tag match tonight, let alone the other matches.

AJ and Jericho is the only match that has the chance to come close to the perfection we seen tonight

A bunch of 40-50 year old nostalgia acts will show up as a surprise in some match on Sunday and some folks who didn't even watch tonight will mark out and declare it the greatest thing ever even though they'll just hit their signature spots and regurgitate their tired catchphrases.

Some smarks were calling NXT to turn into an all-female promotion some time last year. Divas Revolution branding crap diluted the horsewomen. They'll remind you while the women ruled the roost few months ago.

At least I hope so. Don't fuck this up for me Vince/Dunn

What the fuck is a meta crowd? Or a paragon of goodles? Given there were at least 3 amazing matches tonight so why don't you stop being a contrarian and try to enjoy the show.

I won't disagree that having Joe bleed and fight would have played into him being a "monster" I just don't think it made him look weak. WWE's PG policy on blood is too well known among fans for anyone to accept it as any sort of indictment on the wrestlers personas.

It did affect the pacing though, but not too bad.

Asuka is over with the NXT verse. The ending was abrupt and felt it had no reward to it

they're a meta crowd, but they play ball with stuff they like. Bayley is very over as a face with NXT crowds.
 
I just remembered that Sami Zayn still has to compete in the ladder match on Sunday.

.......good lord, he is going to be sore.

It depends on what you want, I think the brock/dean match can be great and the womens triple threat can be good as well. Taker/shane might be fun to watch and AJ jericho could possibly be good for mania. I guess if you're looking for a technical marvel from every match I guess you will be disappointed. Mania in general has only always had like 3 good to great matches. Can't remember one that was more good than bad.
