Yes. VR is clearly in experimental stage. Why not go all in, best possible performance and visual fidelity? To enjoy this experience right now, which isn't even properly tested by game developers, you're going to need: VR device, controller, 4K TV and PS4K... that's a completely new entertainment system I might be able to afford after sitting on my paychecks for months and months.
Because I prefer consoles after ten or so years solely on PC? I think PS4 is a great gaming system and, naturally, you'd expect developers to push it to absolute limits somewhere in 2018-19, not this early in the game? This gives them green light to significantly cut the generation into half.
And I do care for PS exlusives, very much so. I'd follow Naughty Dog and Santa Monica (GOW4) wherever need be, but not like this... not this soon.
