the only thing I'm a little concerned about is Rick Flagg, after Joel Kinnamin stunk up the latest season of House of Cards. Hopefully this is a role like Robocop or Run All Night which doesn't require much acting range from him. Going from Hardy to him was a mega downgrade though.
I could see people railing against Harley and Enchantresses costumes, but I feel like the real question should be what the hell is up with Katana's outfit.

This is just a fun as fuck looking movie. It's dark but it has loads of spirit and charisma. WB really needs to get more of this kinda stuff out there with the DC universe. Hopefully it's actually good and the trailers aren't just a fluke.

I used to think that, but with Leto's Joker, Margot's Harley, and Batman being in this, I think Will Smith will blend into the cast just fine. He's not going to steal or overpower every scene, that's for sure.
The idea of "anti-hero" Harley who's done with the Joker has always made zero sense to me. The logical conclusion to her character arc, the part where she severs ties with the Joker for good, should be with her dropping the whole clown persona altogether. It was only ever made to appeal to him. Right now, she's basically this whacky chick who gets into all these inconsequential hijinks, which is fine, but when she actually interacts with the Joker it becomes shit.
Harley is a tragic character, she's at her strongest when she's tied to the Joker and their love/hate dynamic is well balanced. The comics have no idea how to actually depict an abusive relationship and just feature the Joker slapping Harley literally every chance he gets while also being sexually aggressive. That just undermines both of them and misses the point. Much like a real abusive relationship, the Joker lulls her in by being charming and fun to be around, while ultimately being bad for her.
They worked best when they were a pair of villains that were mostly fun to watch, but with a tragic underlying core behind all the laughs.

Hardy would be fantastic, but maybe he deserves a bigger role too? Darkseid maybe? I don't know. Some other villain perhaps.

What does that change? Is he not in charge of making sure everything fits together in the end? IE there's a reason Bats is the way he is in BvS and there's another reason why Bats is the way he is in SS, but ultimately the reasons will make sense in conjunction?

I love Katana's outfit. The bancho look is still decidedly Japanese without being as predictable as her usual samurai get up, and it gives her a punk edge that fits with this film's aesthetic.
Wish they'd take the damn rising sun off her face, though.

There's big difference between producer and an executive producer. It's pretty obvious this was an Ayer thing he wanted to do and WB liked the pitch enough to fit the movie in whatever timeline they have for this shared universe.
After the shit that was BvS you can't really blame me. I want to believe again.

Yeah there was a big EW article a month or two ago outlining how they were constructing this universe and it said to keep things easy to follow, each film will be set in sequential order. MoS > BvS> Suicide Squad > (Present day bookends of) Wonder Woman > JL etc.
You are comparing those films to comic book movies. Shit ends all around.
All I'm saying is that if you have a huge dislike of Snyder you won't be entirely free of him here.

I think it originally meant all of the movies would follow a central theme and vibe, but now that BvS is tanking hard critically and financially following opening weekend, it probably means little going forward past Justice League. They're already spending tens of millions reshooting Suicide Squad to make it less depressing and esoteric. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens to Wonder Woman, and if the Flash film turns out to be as jovial as the happiest portions of a good Spider-Man film.
