The movie being good should be the bonus and shouldn't even be a marking point, its not for me at least. When it comes to this as it will be the first time for these character, i'm looking at them and how they're being adapted. An since i really love Harleys accent and grow up with it. No matter how good the actress preforms it won't be the Harley i love hearing. Plus they already got me on / with how the joker looks with his edgy emo self.

I go back and forth on whether or not this looks good. Guess Ill just have to wait and see but the rumors of an emergency last minute editing to include more jokes doesnt sound promising.

Ostrander's early Suicide Squad (actually his later run too) wasn't as fun as that trailer seems to let on. The closest to that was maybe Giffen's run?
The success of Secret Six and the rise of Harley has led to a more humorous take on the Suicide Squad.

Courtney looks to be the character (and performance) I'll like the most. Everything I'm seeing him do here looks fantastic.
Yeah, I realize that she's one of the more expendable characters because she's a minority woman who isn't currently being played up as the sexiest woman in the movie. Plus, she's the gruff badass. There's a trope that kinda fits.
I think the only reason any of us worried about reshoots is because of how badly BvS turned out. Snyder isn't on this, and this isn't BvS. I think its time to divorce the two. This has had quite a few trailers and none of them has made everyone worry like that bad BvS trailer with Doomsday.
SS is going to kill it. I'm confident now.

Expecting SS to be much better then BVS but that shouldn't be to hard. Would be surprised if it brings in the audience. Given a lot of people don't know who the hell half these villains are.

So they must have had some reason for her to pick that way of speaking rather than changing it to be closer to all other prior media of Harley.

Could blame this on trailer editing and it is out of context, but it feels like Robbie is really forcing it. Her craziness is coming off like acting.
Also that scene of her putting on the shirt is going to be dumb as fuck pandering.

Thought I recognized that. Don't like that song though, but The Honey and Feel Your Love off of Memo is fire. When I found her off of that Nina Simone tribute album last year, I thought she was black with that much soul. More shit like those two and Love Me or Leave Me and less like Boyfriend Jeans and You Don't Own Me.

What I'm saying is we've seen a lot of scenes already in the trailers that were taken straight from the comics. Probably more than we've seen for any joker in a live action movie in the past.

They did have that long-running pie gag (and some other dark humor), but I contend Ostrander's run was darker on the whole than many of the recent runs. They're more overt with the violence at times, but Ostrander hit that combination of DC super villany, real world politics, grey morality, and brutality better than most. It's why his run was amazing.
