"Quantum Break is now the best-selling new Microsoft Studios IP this generation"

she needs to file a restraining order.

LOL ( don't have a laughing gif)

Man, love how that apparatus on her back looks.

Yeah, the in game models are incredible.

Honestly that stuff makes a huge difference in the game. There is so much extra story and character progression in the data files that it's a little daunting. There seems to be one or two per act that are really quite important to the story too. A certain journal in Act 4 was a game changer.

Hell yes, I know exactly which act 4 journal you're referring to. A total game changer indeed. Anyone who didn't read it has seriously deprived themselves.

Microsoft has said Quantum Break is now the best-selling new IP featuring the word Quantum in its title, as well as being the best-selling boxed game in the UK this week.

That means it's outsold the week one sales of the likes of Treyarchs's Quantum Of Solace and Koei Tecmo's Quantum theory.

I'm just starting ACT 4. Where is this journal? like beginning/middle/end or like part 1,2,3,4 etc.

It's hard to say for certain without spoiling something, but I will tell you that it's at the very beginning part of a major story moment. So long as you activate time vision, or just make sure to look at everything that can be interacted with in the room, (a small room btw, not a big one) you can't miss it.

Numbers are not looking really good in the UK charts (selling less than The Order), but claiming that it has sold better than Ryse and Sunset Overdrive is a way to get more people interested in the title I guess :P

Okay thanks! I can't wait to finish the game.

lol :(

Yeah... I just want another Alan Wake (wasn't a fan of the flashlight as a weapon system but the rest of AW was gold). Hopefully that won't be tied to UWP when released for PC.

Have no idea what to make of that headline, but congrats to Remedy for following through on their vision.

I think Microsoft felt like they had to say something since this game had been in the oven for so long. The production costs must have been huge given the dev time and the live action component. I don't think anything short of amazing sales will recoup the entire investment.

Microsoft PR spin is hilarious. It often entertains me more than the actual games.

BUT, congrats to Remedy. They deserve the success.

Some salty ass posts in this thread

Anyhow congrats Remedy, will eventually pick this up.

No one is salty man, we really don't know if the game did well enough or not, UK numbers at least aren't very good.

There is nothing I hope more than a success for this game and other linear AAA games alike.

To sustain the momentum for the IP, MS should put this out on PC. They could have big hit here. QB should not be on a single platform.

Its isnt that bad.

UPDATE:

MS clarified by MS IP's they mean Ryse, Sunset Overdrive, Zoo Tycoon and Screamride.

You would hope Quantum Break would outsell the listed games, in fact, you would probably assume it.

Every time I read Microsoft PR I walk away with a funky taste in my mouth.

Nice, happy for Remedy.
I hope it does very well throughout its life, need that money for Alan Wake 2!
