Can't wait to replay it as I never finished it but these re-release should be $9.99 at the most.

2GB ram min. for a PS1 port? wat

All the OS versions it runs on require 1GB minimum at a base level, so once you factor that in, plus running Steam and likely other background tasks, it's probably easier than putting 1.5 or whatever.

Eh, it'll sell regardless. Then sell again once on sale, so the price point works for SQEnix.

Can anyone tell us how the port has been handled? Any mouse support? Graphic options? Any upscaling? The slowness of the combat animations drove me crazy in the original.

$20 here so I'll probably wait it out

Such a great game. Do I abandon my disc 3 Vita save I am currently chipping away at and just start fresh on the PC?

Any reviews/impressions?

Never played this game before because of the art-style.
What??? This is the best PS1 FF ... and this release sounds like it will fix the worst problem it has (terrible battle speed).

Get it. Or wait for the inevitable Ps4 port if you don't have a PC.

I'll let someone else take one for the team and report back.
The Android thing has me a bit wary for some reason.

For good reason. A lot of Android ports get on steam with not much added. The OP has some promising PC specific features but I'm not rushing for this.

If only SE's online store hadn't been so ass, I wouldn't have been forced to pay for the PS1 version for a replay and would have instead replayed it on Steam.

Ill buy it even tho my shitty laptop probably wont run it.
Ill do anything to support FF9
and more final fantasys like it

How is the PC port?! Can somebody please play it already damn it!

Android and iOS port are very good.

I'm on it. Can only dedicate a few hours but I'll post some screens, at least.

Does it have widescreen support or does it stretch the image to fit the screen? Or forces 4:3 ratio?

From what I understand the mobile version runs at 4:3 with pillarboxes. I don't see why it would differ here.

From screenshots, the character models look great but backgrounds look a mess. Any chance of those higher res images being modded in, or would that not really work?

Are the Steam versions of the PS1 Final Fantasy games now the best way to play those games? Or can you improve the graphics by emulating on PC instead?
