No gas no coal no nuclear

We will power America on dreams and the tears of wallstreet bankers
The million young people perpetually protesting in DC making Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell feel guilty about not passing progressive legislation will be pedaling on exercise bikes hooked into our power grid.

I kind of hate this race. These two should be very good friends. Comrades in a good fight. I hate that they are more or less enemies right now.

I'm surprised that so many people believe the PLCAA does more than what it actually does.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...n-gun-industry-wholly-protected-all-lawsuits/

It shields gun manufacturers and gun shop owners from being sued for criminal activities unless the manufacturer or the owner explicitly know the gun will be used for crime.

True, it doesn't apply if they make a product that is defective, although, the law that Bernie supported is the reason why this shit still happens.

For an example of how this plays out, look at Adames v. Beretta. In this case, a 13-year-old boy removed the clip from his father's Beretta handgun, believing that made the gun safe, and then accidentally shot his 13-year-old friend. The victim's family sued Beretta, saying the company could have made the pistol safer and provided more warnings, according to SCOTUSBlog. Citing the PLCAA, the Illinois Supreme Court dismissed Adames' claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court ultimately refused to hear the case.

Because his answer was basically Hillary's answer to why she was promoting fracking.

Fracking isn't perfect, but its better than coal, it's a step in the right direction.

Fracking multiplied my home states earthquakes 100-300x, im not exaggerating. Fuck fracking, get that shit out of here.

Science as a word literally just means knowledge, if you mean a field of study using the scientific method, econ counts but its generally not as rigorous or easily testable as say chemistry.

If Hillary had had one more chance on the energy, Bernie set himself up for evisceration. He literally made her argument for her.

Why are Bernie supporters against people following Obama's policies? He is one of the best president's we've ever had, and I and the vast majority of Democrats would take Obama 3rd term easily
We're not against him, he's not picture perfect and between Clinton and Sanders, if vote for Obama again.

My issue with Hillary is she takes a lot of credit and I feel she has ulterior motives.

But that's me.

It's dumb and pandering. One of the few issues Bernie doesn't have the facts on his side.

It isn't dumb. It is dangerous. We need a nuclear policy if we want to realistically combat climate change. We need more research in implementing Gen 4 reactors and fast breeders. Unbelievable amount of green, safe energy in nuclear if you know how to engineer to it.

Why exactly would the crowd have a problem with a third Obama term?

Spoiler alert. She isn't Obama and Obama isn't infallible. I voted for Obama in 08 and 12 but I'm not gonna keep patting myself on the back for it. Need to keep moving forward.

...No???

a hard science? Like chemistry and biology? No?

There is not a single correct way when it comes to economics. There are plenty of different epistemologies there. A science with a single, correct answer is not.
Science isn't about absolutes either. It is about theories, you prove them and people accept them if there's enough evidence until it's disproven.

You just changed it to hard science from science dear

All the Trump supporter / Bernie supporter comparisons make more sense to me tonight. No matter what they say they're right, and if they fuck up it was someone else's fault.

Now Hillary is trying to blame Libya's problems on the Libyan people. Right. If you want to provide world leadership, that can't end the day after you drop bombs.

Whew, that is some impressive ignorance.

This discussion is basically the American foreign policy dilemma in a nutshell. There's no good answer, America is fucked no matter what.

Seeing what nuclear did over in Japan, I'm not sure Bernie is wrong. I know it's a much more cleaner and efficient form of energy, but it is also extremely dangerous to us if anything were to go wrong. There are numerous cases around the world where nuclear failures have happened that have caused major devastation and have last effects still to this day.

Stop with the doo doo you guys are grown ups

Also it's a bit weird that Hillary is asking for half a billion solar panels and Bernie's only gunning for 10 million rooftops?

Can someone do the math on how many panels 10 million rooftops would be?

I also doubt 10 million rooftops can compensate for the amount of energy he wants to shut down though.
She is probably counting each individual cell. The question is what the average number per roof top.

Bernie's anti-nuclear stance is sad and awful

It's super clean energy, just have to follow proper regulations and safety procedures.

I'm still not sold on what to do with the waste*

*I live near one and have worked at one of the largest government nuclear waste facilities as well as we have the first new private energy nuke reactor in decades being built here. I know a shit ton of smart people that work at both.

I think that's where people get confused with economics.

Economic science is mere knowledge about the symbolism and evocation of a system. It's not the same as science that talks about clear cut reality, like a higgs particle. The former is talking about ascription, the latter about innate.

I think that user people are piling on is arguing about the distinction between those two.
