Street Fighter V - Guile Screenshots (April 2016 DLC character)

Please God no.

I'm actually happy with how they developed his character and don't want him to go back to being pathetic and petty.
They're not going to make Sagat a part of Shadaloo again, his story progression from 4 will be continued.

That stage is already in the game and you can see it in FANGs story line when he encounters Bison for the first time. It happens back when Sagat was still a part of Shadaloo.

If Sagat does make it in, I'm guessing his classic Thailand stage will be his accompanying stage.

You have been blessed with a legit ass character. Why do you hate?

I know how in the minority I am, but I really can't stand the SF2 cast for the most part. The slight redesigns are helping some, but I really wish it wasn't inevitable that they'd all end up coming back. Maybe we could just not have Guile, you know? Maybe Akuma doesn't have to return. I know why that won't happen, but it still makes me sad.

SFV feels like it's own thing right now, and I love it for that. Soon enough, though, it'll be "SF2 and friends" once again. I wish I could have had the initial 16 roster for longer than I did, even if that means I don't get the characters I'm missing either. There's something great about small-roster fighters that I think gets lost over time. But, I know, I'm a weirdo on that as well. I was perfectly fine with 20-character KOF XII, and that's practically heresy.

I think it's also selfish, because I know the more characters that are added to the game, the more I'll be pushed away from having any chance to be at least somewhat good at it.

It's a story mode stage, isn't it? Means that the stage was built when Sagat was part of the four kings, not that he's still one of them.

The stage is already in the game's story mode. It's kind of a neat variation, an extra little detail in a game that's honestly otherwise lacking that sort of polish.

Yeah I dunno, especially when they're doing a pretty good job of giving them some character design changes and/or moveset changes. I like a mostly new cast too, but the SF2 cast is beloved due to the very different playstyles and their iconic designs. Having Guile back soon makes tons of sense since there's not many zoning characters in SF5 right now.

EDIT:

V-Trigger: Solid Puncher

Guile powers up and tosses out continuous Sonic Booms! Each button throws a Sonic Boom at a different speed, so mixing up between buttons can create interesting Sonic Boom sequences. Depending on the sequence used, this can act as a great combo extender, be used to overwhelm opponents or easily push his opponents to the corner.

LOL HOLY SHIT, new main confirmed

Also totally thought Sonic Hurricane was gonna be his Critical Art, sweet

Looks sick

Sounds like cool gameplay changes for him. SF5 has been on point with updating characters.

I did expect a lot more feature improvements, though. Where are the challenges? Weren't those supposed to be shortly after launch?

"Guile will be available for free later this month to all players until the Zenny shop launches"

So like Alex.

"This stage will be available in the Shop for 70,000FM."

That's...a lot.

*knocks on door

"Hello ladies. I'm here about a noise complaint."

"I'm sorry officer! We'll keep it down."

"Oh no. You don't understand. The problem is there's not enough SONIC BOOMS!"

*flip kicks out of clothes.

I'm here all week.

"Oh, I know he has the flag tattooed since SF2 but what I'm asking is if he has two tattoos of the flag. I always thought it was one tattoo."

He has two in SF4, partially as a homage to the sprite mirroring in SF2.

I sure hope Capcom haven't fixed/implemented their Zenny option this update so we can play Guile for free. Saving my fight money for Ibuki, Juri and Urien.

surprised there's no update on Zenny shop

"Guile will be available for free later this month to all players until the Zenny shop launches and will receive his own set of Trials and Character Story. His Battle Costume will be available for free to all Season Pass holders as well."

So most likely they themselves don't know when they'll have the infrastructure up and ready.
