Street Fighter V - Guile Screenshots (April 2016 DLC character)

That's mighty fine nitpicking, sir. Sorry to be 'complaining', I thought I could have a negative opinion on a character's design in here.

I'll try both. Not quite looking forward to the story mode thing, though :) Thanks for the advice.

well if you can't complain without disparaging people that's your problem

Umm, preventing them from playing the game and keeping them away from the rest of us sounds like the perfect way to deal with rage quitters.

It's not about "punishing them". It's about making the game more enjoyable for US.

It kinda is. The best deterrent will always be punishing them for rage quitting every time they do it, not letting them get away with it up to a point.

Guile finally wearing proper Airforce-looking gear.

He sounds hella crazy

In Street Fighter V, Guile retains his ability to dominate both the ground and air with his solid normal attacks and special moves, such as Sonic Boom and Somersault Kick. He also now has the ability to enter a crouch walk state called Faultless Move which allows him to keep his charge while moving forward, giving him even more options in his kit to keep his opponents in line. Guile is a great choice for those of you who are looking for a charge character who can easily control the pace of the match.

V-Trigger: Solid Puncher

Guile powers up and tosses out continuous Sonic Booms! Each button throws a Sonic Boom at a different speed, so mixing up between buttons can create interesting Sonic Boom sequences. Depending on the sequence used, this can act as a great combo extender, be used to overwhelm opponents or easily push his opponents to the corner.

His vtrigger really sounds like some Rainbow Edition shit lmao. Everything was sonic booms. His vskill sounds really cool too. Like whatshisface's(Jin?) fireballs from SFxT.

That's an dress shirt from an actual US Air Force uniform.

Yeah, I was surprised people didn't recognize USAF dress.

That'd be a problem if that's what I did at any point.

I didn't, so I'll assume you're talking about your own comment where you're being disparaging about what I censored.

In any case, you're not looking for a relevant discussion with me, so let's leave it at that, shall we?

*shakes your hand*

i wouldn't shake your hand

Hes out of regs though lol. Out side of his sleeves being rolled up there Shouldnt be anything on his collar iirc.

Been a while since i wore my blues.

Yeah, made my edit about the lapel pin on the collar; had a momentary lapse and forgot that it's only worn with full service dress. Guile's always been out of regs though, so his continued flagrant disregard for 36-2903 is expected. Maybe they can redeem him by having a camo alt that's tiger striped to match our current pattern, hair will still be jacked but in actuality that's fairly accurate for pilots.

Its his Air Force blues or dress uniform. He just got finished with an EPR and need kick some ass.

"I see here you were a 'key player' and 'instrumental to the ongoing fight against Shadaloo', 'single handedly dispatching over 500 enemy combatants'. While that is GOOD, it's only ONE bullet....do you have anything else?"

It kinda is. The best deterrent will always be punishing them for rage quitting every time they do it, not letting them get away with it up to a point.

And, then you'll have people whining if they ever get disconnect for normal reasons about losing points unfairly.

That's happened to me in SF4/SFxT before, and it was not okay.

Depending on the implementation, this could be a good medium. Plus, they will be adjusting and expanding on this system over time.

Bruh

He looks stupid with the rolled-up sleeves. Also I bet after all these years he still hasn't learned the low boom. Remy>>>>>guile

Well most media in general don't get any of the services' 100% uniforms right, lol
It's a bit of artistic liberty, and a bit of "Eh close enough fuck it" I'm sure.

Haha, wow, I didn't expect that much backlash.

The fact that it's inoffensive is why I dislike it.

It's boring as fuck. It looks like a lazy alt design.

If you can't come up with something better, why ditch the iconic green design?

Same goes for Ken. You can't even f*cking buy a normal-looking Ken design. Adding insult to injury, he looks normal in the tutorial!

I'm sorry for causing a commotion, I thought many people disliked SF5's art direction.

I'd rather have inoffensive than something silly like Juri's new design. But whatever.

That's probably wise, you don't know where it's been.

Bad sportsmanship, though.

Sure, I guess. But that's a decision between bad/worse. Juri's always had a divisive design, though.

Fuck Yeah, Guile is my favourite SF character, will be maining him asap.
Also can't wait to hear his SFV theme song.

Assuming it is not known whether we can take the glasses off and put them back on still?

This. I need this taunt.

Love the redesign and letting him move while charging is going to make playing Guile less boring against people who usually just turtle.

If it makes for a better experience for the vast majority of users, some random miscategorized losses are easy to live with. If you can't consistently maintain a connection and are dropping enough that that's a consistent issue, you're wasting people's time and ruining the experience already.

How does MK handle a "quitality"? How does it know it's not random disconnect? Is it accurate in telling the difference?

Is there an option to hear stage music when fighting people online instead of character themes yet? I'D LIKE THAT VERY MUCH CAPCOM.

Looks good but I hope Guille gets his classic costume and his stage better have the Guile theme music. The music in SV5 is a huge disappointment so far with the exception of the India stage.

play local vs.

online you hear character themes, smh

there should be a toggle imo
heck there was one in sf4

The stages music plays when you play local vs. AND Online Casual matches.
Character themes only play in Ranked matches.

Anyway, holy s**t! This announcement couldn't possible be any better. Guile AND his iconic stage from '92 SF2?

I'm hyped to the moon right now! :D

That's what I was thinking but I wanted his V-Trigger to be Aegis Reflector tbh

Uh, why not both? Suit disintegrates after first use (and will stay off for the rest of the round or match), Aegis Reflector activated and can be used multiple times.

Stage themes also always play during replays instead of character themes.
