Can't wait for Nuckledu to try him out and see his opinion.
Try designing one of these stages yourself and see how much effort it takes.A stage probably takes a tenth of the effort of designing a character, it shouldn't cost 70% as much.
Balrog is obviously next. I know people on here moan about SF2 cast. But for me personally they are the most hype. It's so cool to see how they mix the old characters up with V SKILL and V Trigger. And of course redesigned look.
Or you do the SP content. I have 650k
And I only did one hell survival with Ken.
That's from story mode
Easy survival
Normal sirvival
Trials

Well it sounds to me like Arturo must not play much single player. Which wouldn't surprise me.
Avg person with avg patience is probably going to have around 300-350k from the SP content.Or you do the SP content. I have 650k

We need to hear the new Guile Theme.

The 6 DLC characters of this year, a premium costume for each of those 6 characters and this stage. What's the season pass get ya? Characters and this stage as an added bonus?

the 6 season 1 DLC Characters, 1 premium costume for each DLC characters, and 1 stage free...
At the time it was announced, the stage wasn't known. People who bought it originally were paying for the characters and the costumes. The stage was later added in as a freebie. Not free, you're paying for it

Pretty clear they're going in order of the images here. Alex being first confirmed it for me, but Guile coming next couldn't be coincidence.
Of course it's work. You know what is more work? Modelling and animating a convincing human character with dozens of attacks and balancing them against an existing roster that continues to grow.Try designing one of these stages yourself and see how much effort it takes.
Hint: it's a lot of work.

Man...sf2 cast and popular character is general is hype for likely the majority of SF fans. People just like to beg for characters we haven't seen in a while. "Give me Eagle!"
We're gettin' all Cold War up in here.
(I don't even begin to understand the timeline of these games.)

And the glory days of SFV not being junked up with SF2's cast continue to march toward extinction. It was fun while it lasted.
None of that requires above average Patence though...I don't know how to play with anyone besides Ken. Competing easy and normal survival is the bulk of my FM. It's very easy.Avg person with avg patience is probably going to have around 300-350k from the SP content.
I don't think it will be as bad. Bison has a projectile counter and teledash now, and though they probably won't make that much of a difference against Booms, he's generally nowhere as barebones as he was before, which was his biggest issue. He has tools now.Bison/Guile matchup looks like it will still be raw ass. Probably worse.
Ibuki may be before Balrog. After Guile and Balrog, you have two SF3 characters and one SF4 character coming.
Is sim gief and vega the only members of sf2? What are you talking about?I don't know about you guys, but the fact that the Capcomunity site just doesn't work whenever there's an update post is so... Capcom. Can't even get the server right on your own website?
About Guile, I was wondering how they'd make the lamest character in fighting game history more annoying, and they appear to have exceeded my expectations, although I'll hold out until I play against him. I expected rapid boom nonsense, I didn't expect forward charges. Meanwhile, Fang's vtrigger does what exactly?
Yeah Vega Gief and Sim get so much play, they're so popular that's why they're at the bottom of the charts as far as usage right. But by all means, continue.
lol @ 70k for a stage.
It's like you've had this post ready since the DLC characters were announced months ago or something.

Sakura, Sagat, Akuma, Rog. These are character loved and adored by fans and some pros are essentially waiting for there favorite characters to show up.
I'm pretty sure more people want Sagat more than random character that showed up in one game way back when.So characters that aren't Sakura, Sagat, Akuma, Balrog or the rest of the SF2 cast just don't matter? So what if you 'adore' these characters, not everyone else does. And what's wrong with people 'begging', as you put it, for characters they like that haven't been in a game for a while? Also, why should I care if the pros are waiting for the characters they want to play as? I couldn't give a shit if they have to wait for the characters they played as in SF4. I've waited years for Alex to be in a SF game again. If I can wait years for a character then those poor pro players can wait a few more months for the characters they want, even though they've managed quite well without them so far.

So no one should care for any character outside of SF2? lol
I didn't say that but getting fan favorites should be a bigger priority to get in rather than some obscure ass character
Is sim gief and vega the only members of sf2? What are you talking about?
Would you consider, say, Alex a fan favourite if he was in SF4? 'Cause it seems a character has to have been in that game to be considered a fan favourite these days.
Also, how is a game like SF3 or Alpha obscure lmao?
You're just proving my point. What's wrong with Capcom catering to the what a large group of people like? And releasing the same characters every game because they are staples of the franchises? Nothing, just like there is nothing wrong with new characters. The problem is, people are selfish and want new characters all the time at the expense of people who like the classic. I can pull up the threads when people thought Ken wasn't in, they were glad and happy because "no more Ken army online" Ken is one of the most popular characters in the game. A huge chuck of the fanbase would want him in, but no lets get eagle to replace him -_- that's the logic i have a a problem with. I want the game to sell, and for it to keep growing, if popular characters help, then put as many of them in as possible. If everyone falls in love with Urien, he better be in the next one. I'm not just concerned about what I want. If Snake eyes only plays zangief, then I want zangief to be in there. His play entertains thousands of people around the globe and the community learns from him.So characters that aren't Sakura, Sagat, Akuma, Balrog or the rest of the SF2 cast just don't matter? .... Yeah anyway. I don't know what point you are even trying to make. Ken and Ryu and hands down the most popular characters and there are some that don't even want both of them in the game at launch lol. My point is, the larger user base likes classic characters, and it would be stupid to ignore them. Also there's a ton of people that don't play online or ranked, so having usage as a barometer to a characters popularity is probably useless. Alex Urien, guy, Sakura, I'm not just talking about sf2 cast but popular characters in general. Put em all end if it's going to help grow the userbasse. You're right, I forgot about Honda and Blanka. That's 40% of the original cast. You made the general/sweeping statement.
I get that it's a part of his look but goddamn I cant stand the sight of his hair. They were able to mess around with other characters hair but felt the need to keep his extra ridiculous hair. A military haircut isn't going to ruin the character. I mean its not like hes in his classic outfit anyway..Why even bother changing his outfit? I also felt this way about character costumes as they were being revealed before launch. Ken gets a new look but everyone else has the same old shit? Bison and Dhalsim seem like last minute tweaks.(Check out the mod that removes D's beard and turban or Bison's 'cape.' They instantly become classic versions of themselves) Where's the consistency? Anyone who picks up a Street Fighter game will know who's who. This isn't some new no name indie series.
That muscular brunette with a red headband,Ryu. Blonde dude with thick black eyebrows and long hair,Ken. Asian chick with thick thighs, Chun-Li, Tall burly dude with a beard and short mohawk, Sumo Wrestler, Petite fit chick with long ass pig tails,Boxer with a fucked up hairline..etc It just drives me crazy. I'm gonna have to swap or mod in some unique defaults. I thought for sure we'd get fresh new looks and that the classic outfits would just be something they'd sell to us later but man was I wrong.
I'm glad he's in and that they changed his look up a bit but that classic hairdo is just too much for me.I'll be looking out for a mod to change that hair.
Well said...『Inaba Resident』;201279362 said:Paying attention to the popular characters is important but diversifying the roster is also important. This is something I feel Capcom has done a really good job with the roster.
You have your popular SF2 mainstays (Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Bison etc.),characters we really haven't seen in a while (Karin, Mika, Nash, Birdie), new characters, and DLC featuring more popular characters and some highly requested ones that haven't been in a game in a while. All while making sure the entire roster in terms of gameplay is varied and different.
I wasn't talking bout Alex, karin or R. Mika at all tho so what's your point?SF is likely on a sliding timeline, like the Marvel comics universe. Meaning "now" is whenever they say it is.
Alex was one of the most highly requested characters for SF5.
