Wait are people really crying out on how Independents could not vote? Did they get to vote in the Democratic/Republican primaries before? Why would they get to vote now? Unless NY changed the process.

I have to wonder exactly what you and most of GAF considers the deep end. I'm progressive to the point I would be called an utter extremist in the US but have a nice home in the Green party in Australia.

They go off on progressive rants, which apparently many in GAF can't handle. I appreciate having real people being candid regarding their values. Search some youtube videos and make your own mind. :P

It's a teardrop in the rain.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Hacked e-mail servers on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched Hot Sauce glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

- Bernie Sanders 2016

NY has always been a closed primary. People are just grasping at straws.

Tell me how Michael, John, or Anna or hell even Cenk are not being level headed today?
They are even trolling Jimmy about how slow the gap is closing.

haha. keep watching to get some context. the 5 person race was about a weird scenario where maybe Bernie could maybe get a plurality of the votes, which would mean nothing because you need a majority in GE. They are basically saying that Bernie running against Hillary in GE doesnt make sense in any scenario. It is basically handing the presidency to the GOP.

Ehhhh..... now it's Clinton won't have enough pledged delagates by the convention and if supers have to put her over, it'll be a problem. And remember.... Clinton has that investigation!

You gotta be kidding. Bernie is going to the convention and will use every delegate he can get to squeeze Clinton on his agenda. Clinton supporters keep mistaking the Bernie camp as simply a political campaign. It is that, but it's also a movement.

Maybe we would be less confused if Sanders did more to broaden his movement than sending a fundraising email out for Zephyr Teachout?

Also, didn't some group file a lawsuit with a hearing today asking to open up the NY primaries? That was also really bizarre... why didn't they file suit a couple of months ago, since everyone has known the primaries were always closed? That either seems like major procrastination or sloppiness, or it was just a stunt trying to use the immediacy of the election to get a judge to issue a hasty ruling.

"Trump's incredibly specific and clever nickname for her -- Crooked Hilary."

Really TYT? How is that nickname specific or clever?

Bwahaah! It's not a movement. Its a castle made of smoke and mirrors. Surrounded by a wall of empty promises and a moat of snake oil.

Bernie is actually bringing in independent voters to the Democratic party (who will be necessary to win the general) and yet changing the election law is a bad thing? Okay.

Sanders has sent out several fundraising emails to Bernie donors for different Democratic campaigns.

If it was a movement maybe I could get behind it. But its not. Its not a "political revolution" and every day it continues to be sold as one it becomes more and more disingenuous

lol Bernie gives zero fucks about the party, he wasn't even a democrat until a year or so ago.

Then he never cared about his issues either. Giving the GOP the presidency at this point will kill everything he cares about for an entire generation.

He's not though, turnout is down compared to 2008. He's not Obama.

They completely lost any objectivity when it comes to Bernie. No nuance allowed in positions anymore. It's become black and white with them. They have such an incredible bias that they eat all of the bullshit Sanders does, and never question them. The slightest thing has them immediately question Clinton, but they do not hold the same scrutiny with Sanders. To them he can do no wrong. Guy is a snakeoil salesman. Does all kinds of political bullshit that they don't call him out on. Not like Clinton is a saint, but they have done such a poor job challenging Sanders on anything.

Maybe the guys watching TYT should listen to NPR or the 538 Elections podcast from this morning. Both are fantastic at covering elections and extremely shitty at extolling biases.

Meh, C clarified it was a wild possibility. To me, too wild to be worth mentioning, fair enough. Also, disagreed with John's claims now regarding special attachment to Clinton. I do agree with identity politics > policy. It is ok to sometimes disagree and sometimes agree. I enjoy an honest perspective. :P

Some people got their party registrations switched to independent without their consent supposedly and by the time they found out, it as too late.

NY was a tough one for Bernie. If the Victory is >10 points which is looking likely.. not really that much of a difference. Should be investigated and hopefully fixed tho.

Holy shit that's super condescending

I missed that. Did he really say that?? I disagree there. I think it is more about a familiar face that you know what you are getting. As many interviews have revealed, it is about the sure preservation of your rights, not necessarily risking to advance your rights.

Trump's probability of winning the Republican nomination is up to 68 percent from below 50 percent earlier this month

If trump has a similar performance in california to this, I'd say his nomination is certain. Expecially if he sweeps next week. This is pretty huge.

If Bernie and his supporters are indeed serious about getting Citizens United overturned - a legal linchpin for minimizing the influence of money in politics - now is the point where he should begin a shift to focus on message, with an eye toward unity for November.

Hillary - or more precisely, her court nominees - provide the movement towards that goal. This is a years-long process.. not a one-cycle fervor. I hope that he communicates this clearly and repeatedly, and that cooler, more logical heads prevail.

Somebody's gotta keep talking about the transcripts tho.

He still needs their support in the Senate though. He can't go burn bridges left and right or he'll be a useless senator with no political allies.

I am pretty sure that's what's going to happen. He burnt too many bridges already. I don't understand how he thinks he could do a REVOLUTION while continuously insulting the people who are supposed to be his allies.

Okay, I don't follow the whole Clinton investigation thing so can anyone just lay it on the tablet...is there absolutely ANY chance she gets arrested/indicted or is it all just one big farce? I keep hearing it getting thrown out once in awhile by Sanders supporters or Republicans and it makes me wonder if it has any possibility of happening whatsoever.
