Wow, it's mad how much faster this thing is on a new3DS compared to a regular one. It's actually worth booting! Slightly concerned that Bunny offered me a free play and then didn't actually give me a free play though =/

Apparently I just "beat" the game when I hit level 12. Arcade Bunny upgraded my statue and said it was as big as he could make it and told me I'd played for 164 days and thanked me for my patronage.

I'm only a couple hundred behind myself! I got yelled at on Miiverse (as much as one can be yelled at by 10-year-olds) for not spoiler-tagging a level-up in this, so glad he's on the ball. Hope they patch in some higher levels, 'cuz I ain't stoppin'.

Doing some quick math, if I have 3011 badges and always bought in 20 plays for $4 increments that means I spent over $600 here. Is that right?

We seem to be getting the rest of the Wind Waker HD badges at the same time, which pleases me greatly.
Conversely, though, it's a shame that since the 'upgrade' we only get two weekly free plays - there's far less that can be done with those on the trickier catchers.
Well the free plays puts Europe completely in line with Japan. They only get 2 a week.

So there's a badge today of Mallo holding the 3DS camera. I saw it a few weeks back and was like "I neeeed it" but I've made a personal decision to never put real money on this game, only to go off of free plays. For the most part it's perfect, free plays coast me through all the badges I want.
Last time I saw the Mallo badge I couldn't get it, and it disappeared. It came back four days ago, and three of those days I failed to get it. Then came today, the last day I could attempt to get the Mallo badge before it disappears and comes back who knows when.
They gave out a free play for Ultra Smash, which I was able to use to knock the Mallo badge off his high perch down to normal levels. This took a lot of risk and you really have to line up the claw juuuuuuuust right, as if you fail he'll just fiddle around and you've wasted your free play.
But it's not enough just to knock him off the highest ice ledge, you have to grab him. So I go over to practice mode...only 1 badge. I need 9 more to get a free play?! Unfortunately today's was the bomb one and i'm not very good at that so I only got 7 badges...but one of them was the blue one which gave me a free play. Okay, we're back in this.
Go back to Mallo, see him just lying on the platform. I grab him with the free play, and he's mine. So many things could have gone wrong, but man I can't believe how lucky I got. I'm really happy, it's a neat little badge from a neat little game.

That looks interesting with the Pokemon one where there's two big holes to hit a pokemon each or a small tight one in the middle to get both in one go.
I quite like the idea of the stick ones because that sounds like a good catcher style to use single plays on - there's not really much to gain cumulatively from multiple ones so you can complete them in a piecemeal way without losing out whenever it resets.

Yeah man feels pretty good. I really like Badge Arcade as a concept. It's a neat way to decorate your 3DS and I'm glad it seems to be pretty successful.
Does anybody know what the point is of the bunny upgrading the statue of your collection next to the practice catcher? Just wondering if you get anything if you upgrade it all the way.

Has anyone gone for the big toad tennis badge? It SEEMS like you might be able to just grab toad and bring basically the rest of the board with him on one pull. Does that work?

How does one get the Rosalina badge in the Mario Tennis Ultra Smash one? There's a wall blocking it.

EU here so no idea what the panel looks like but usually there's some kind of mechanic to get rid of said wall. Like a lever that moves if otehr badges are moved or a pull/drag mechanic. Can you post a screenshot?
That's just one of their usual tricks to make you waste plays. In reality, the golf ball above Yoshi will prevent you from getting a good grip on Toad. The gimmick is that by hitting the racket into the chute, it causes golf balls to drop on Rosalina, similar to the Fire Emblem: Fates panel with the ninja. Cute.
And I just noticed how weirdly designed the Wario and Waluigi badge is. It looks like Wario is fisting him
That's been going for a while in the EU (About a month or so?); thought it was worldwide.
