a lot of my threads involve me fucking up somehow. Perhaps I'm a moron?
Six cities make up the Toronto megacity

What? Everyone I know says it's because the area code is 416. I've never heard that theory before.

That's probably because they, like you, are too stupid to understand that York, East York, as well as Scarborough Etobicoke York and "Old Toronto" (Which is just what it's called now) were actually six distinct cities prior to 1998.

Whether or not they're bigger than Vancouver has literally nothing to do with it.

Wow you're a bit of a cunt aren't you.

Mom grew up in the west-end, dad grew up in Scarborough, sister lives downtown and I went to school there. I have never ever heard anyone reference this before, and it's not because "I'm too stupid". Fucking juniors man.

It's a picture of the most iconic building in the Toronto skyline and it's called views from the 6.

Straight to the point.

A little too on the nose for me, and I love drake. Imagine if it was titled "views from ny" and it was him sitting on the empire state. I mean, logically it makes sense, but creatively is a bit shallow.

Who cares though really, its cover art.

To be fair, everyone knows New York. The Empire State Building is recognizable worldwide. Can't really say the same for Toronto. Not really an equal comparison. It's certainly on the nose, but it's not as common knowledge. Drake's 6 pride has helped me get at least a surface level education about the city.

Sorry, but if you apparently grew up in Toronto and aren't aware of amalgamation, you are either stupid or ignorant. There really isn't a non-cunty way of putting it. Worse if you're one of those people that think Richmond Hill and fucking Markham are part of the City of Toronto lol

I grew up in Oakville and I was aware of it.

Amalgamation was a big thing.

I live in Scarborough now, and fwiw, I still hear people (mostly 30+) say they live in East York. They also still haven't replaced their distinct street signs:

(York, on the other hand, sorta blends into Toronto. East York has the Don Valley separating it from Toronto.)

As a Toronto boy, I absolutely love this cover. A big celebrity like Drake repping how great the 6ix is is something this city deserved a long time ago.

Do you need a hug? If someone asked me the 6 cities I wouldn't have got it. Guess I'm just ignorant

You don't have to be asshole bruh and call me stupid. I'm
Just saying I lived here for over 25 years. way before 1998, no one refers to York and EastYork by their name. It is just "downtown" or "Toronto Downtown"

people say East York. I live there and it's on all your mail. mostly it's just "the Danforth" though

never heard anyone actually refer to "the 6" out loud here though, just on pop threads. it will go the way of "T-dot"

It's cool. SFG & TC are his other best artworks (and projects respectively). Drizzy following the pattern and its gon be his third classic.

Watch it be a double album aka Vince Staples style how he did 10 on one part than 10 on the other. Or like Danny Brown.

East York, York, and "Old" Toronto, gimme a fucking break, those "cities" don't even add up to the size of Vancouver downtown, York and East York were named probably back in the day when, people had to walk or take the ol' slow ass street cars everywhere. Anyways I have no idea what I'm trying to say here, but 25 years of living in North York, I've never heard anyone say to me they live in "York" or "East york" or "old Toronto"

But I've heard many say they live in "Scarborough" "Nort York" "Downtown" "Etobicoke" "Richmond Hill" etc etc.

Btw. I really like your username, respect.

People will say they live in Richmond hill because it's a city unto itself. =\

People say "downtown" which is old toronto, and they say etobicoke, north york, and scarborough, so that's really most of them.

Maybe we don't like it because we don't give a fuck about Toronto? I mean the Space Needle (or whatever) does nothing for me visually but maybe they love it.

I've seen someone suggest Mississauga and Brampton as being a part of Toronto once.

Once again, this is strategic. Why did he dance like an idiot in Hotline Bling? So it would go viral af. Why would he make a goofy cover with him on it? So people will meme the shit out of it. I kinda like it anyways.

Confirmed 20 songs?

Also personally don't think that cover is spectacularly bad or anything haha, I'll check out the fan covers though.

As a Canadian I had no idea tha The 6 was a thing lol

As for the cover, I kinda like it but it could do without Drake up there.

I have to question how old you really are in that case, because before 1998 everyone knew what York, East York, and old Toronto were (though back then we just called it Toronto). People that live in East York still say they live in East York. Maybe you just dont know anyone from East York?

You may want to check your facts - each of those cities is at least twice the size of downtown Vancouver. Old Toronto alone is 15x bigger.

But that's neither here nor there, I'm pretty sure 416 refers to the area code too.

Weird. Becuase I've heard people say that they live in East York or York. People say Richmond Hill because it's a separate city like Mississauga or Brampton.

And it doesn't matter what size the cities were before amalgamation - they were all separate cities.

It's okay.

More concerned with his recent output.

Pop Style and One Dance I didn't feel at all.

Summer Sixteen is quite vibey though.

ehhhhh it's an alright cover. Obviously not the "best" but it's not that big of a deal. Although, Drake does seem to be sloppily shopped on to that building.

Bad_Boy

time to take my meds
his tour is coming through my small hometown. nose bleeds are $50.

I'd pay 25 cause i don't like future.

Decent cover.. I don't care though I just want to hear the music. Friday night is the release I'm assuming or is it at Midnight? I could use some new gym music. The OVO camp production quality is through the roof.
