I've wanted a Modern Warfare remaster for a very long time, yet, as soon as it was announced/leaked, I was filled by a fear that Activision in their infinite wisdom/cruelty would do something to screw it up. Only, what, half the multiplayer maps? Oh, and now I have to spend money on a $60 game that I almost certainly won't want?

If they release it separately, I will buy it, but I will buy Infinite Warfare on its own merits or not at all. Activision may think they can have their cake (making shit Call of Duty games) and have it too (get people who liked the old games to buy this one). Well, not me.

Folks are seriously surprised that Activision wouldn't use Modern Warfare as a way to keep current fans invested (and lure back older fans who may've wandered away from Call of Duty) as the series makes it's biggest stylistic jump *since* Modern Warfare?

Spoilers: that version of MW will be downloadable only *and* accessible through the Infinity War menu, so you won't ever be able to sell/lend your disc if you wanna keep playing MW (and this is before Activision starts selling you the same MW map packs you already bought for the original MW a decade ago.)
