I found that in mine too just now, but I disabled/re-enabled the thing manually last month so I hope I still get it (although now I doubt it).

Why would they have a subscription for a marketing email. This makes zero sense. Guess I miss out on hidden ability Zapdos now, cool.

I had that same unsubscription email and reenabled it before the deadline, and I got my birds this morning. Not sure if they're being sent out in waves or what, but as long as you did resubscribe before April 22 you should get them.

I just did it today... so crap. I still don't get why they would unsubscribe me from marketing.
Since I probably won't be getting the email, Pokemon RBY on VC works with the Pokemon Bank, correct? So I can still get the birds. But does that only work with Sun/Moon?

If you have XY, you can catch them there.

I had the exact email months ago (and I subbed sometime in 2014) and recently enabled it and still got the three codes earlier this morning. The enable screen isn't even relevant to your account, it just takes you to a generic thank you screen for some odd reason.

Yup, the only way you can transfer the birds from VC over is when Sun and Moon are released.

To be fair, you have the reset and complete the game twice to get the other two. I mean if you like replaying, it's not a big deal, but that can get pretty tedious and boring very fast. Not to mention, these are the only official releases of HA Kanto birds, you can't get the HA otherwise.

If you have both X & Y, you can finish it on both, catch the exclusives on both version, you can get Xerneas and Yveltal too. You only need to do one more tedious run. That is if you're going for the full dex.

Those are easy to find on GTS btw.

You shouldn't be trading event legendaries starters.

For the starters, just breed a starter and request another. Starters are always on GTS and easily available.

In case you guys are not aware or forgot, they are also distributing the three X&Y legendary and they are only available for 1 week each.

In celebration of the debut of Pokémon the Series: XYZ, three powerful Legendary Pokémon from the Kalos region—Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde—can be downloaded via Nintendo Network for Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games during the month of May. These Pokémon are all Lv. 100, and know their signature attacks as well as other powerful moves. Each Pokémon will be available via Nintendo Network for one week only:


May 2–8: Zygarde
May 11–17: Shiny Xerneas
