May U.S. Primaries |OT| Glory to America

Gonna be another Wyoming where it is close enough they get almost the same amount of delegates and then people look at the supers and she has more of those.

I will be disappointed if Indiana goes for Bernie though.

Unless Hillary loses this fall, it will be eight years before another Dem has the chance.

There might be some token opposition in 2020, but Hillary will be an incumbent.

Plenty of time between now and then to impeach her for her handling of the terrorist crisis in Rawanda (2019) and her shady business deals with Elon Musk and the renaming of Olympus Mons to Hillary Mons (2020).

Ya... Looks like Bernie's gonna win this. I hope everyone's ready to feel the annoyance on their facebook feeds.

Won't he net like 1-2 delegates with this primary being so close?

I need to see Cruz's concession speech

Cause if he doesn't concede goddamn he's insane

Cruz will continue on. He and Kasich have no choice but to ride it out in hopes of being the one the establishment selects

You understand Trumps historic relation to Hilary? You understand what he runs his campaign on, polititans who take money from special interests. You understand Hilary is the poster boy for that? Everything literally points to Bernie being a better opponent, but ok, we'll go with your stokholm syndrome gut feeling for the clinton brand
That's nice and all, but Trump is still Trump. His anti-establishment gimmick isn't going to win over minority voters.

Lol, I mean I think everybody has heard this speech before. No honestly, it's the same thing every time. I haven't been impressed with a Bernie speech in a long time, well other than that one time a bird saved it.

Yep.

At this point in the game everyone who cares enough to be paying attention to news channels right now has Bernie's stump speech memorized down to the timestamps.

There's a lot of "1 percent"s mixed in there

In the end, all Hillary needs to do is make sure Bernie has a spot in her administration to help get most of his voters on her side. And really, that's the best Bernie can hope for at this point sadly.

I think Cruz might be going scorched Earth. Might be so pissed at Trump that he would rather Hillary won, and he can come back in 4 years to try again.

You understand Trumps historic relation to Hilary? You understand what he runs his campaign on, politicians who take money from special interests, they're fake, and not real like him. You understand that message has done wonders for him and is getting him the nomination and new republican voters. You understand Hilary is the poster boy for that message he presents? Everything literally points to Bernie being a better opponent, but ok, we'll go with your stokholm syndrome gut feeling for the clinton brand

Yes and I also understand how reality works. How vicious Trump is going to be? What is Trump going to say about Hillary we haven't heard 1 million times before? It's going to be boring and nobody will care. I also know the party is far more comfortable with a more "moderate" or expected candidate. So yes, I feel more comfortable with Clinton at the helm now. When others were still in the game with Trump, I felt Sanders could hold his own. Now I'm not so sure.

I think you did the same thing last week with Connecticut. You really need to be more mindful of different counties reporting at different rates before making predictions.

An open primary with tons of white voters. Clearly the bastion of civil democracy, an example for the rest of the nation to follow.

So no brokered convention, is my guess.

Is this worse for the Republican Party I wonder? Seems like it will make it easier for Trump to get an actual presidency this way since he probably would have went independent otherwise

It would have been worse for the GoP to have a brokered convention.
This way they can save face and say their establishment still represents the voters.

Nah Sanders supporters on facebook will be way worse with a loss.

They don't really gloat. They will whine about suppression, fraud, and being disenfranchised with a loss though.

Lake County returns starting to come in though.

For every new conservative voter Trump pulls in, 2 are pushed away. The Republican party is not a purely ideological legion, like Cruz has assumed.

Clinton may have high unfavorables and an unavoidable chain to the Washington establishment, but Clinton does not terrify a massive chunk of the population the way Trump does.

That might be his strategy but it won't work. Cruz has always been a regional candidate due to his views. He would have been long snuffed out in a better field. Hell even in this field without Trump he would have been snuffed out.

OK I'll bite: she really have went after Bernie. In fact no one has (like John Kasich on the GOP side). Let's say Sanders is the nominee. Had is he going to handle everything the GOP throws at him that has not come up at all? When you haven't been attacked, when the Skelton's in the closet haven't come out, you always look great compared to the person who is constantly being pulled down. When is suddenly you that drastically shifts. If Trump can soon the narrative that Cruz's dad was part of the JFK assassination just wait until he starts calling Sanders a Commie and tying him to Castro and Chairman Mao.

No brokered GoP convention makes me kinda sad though, I really wanted to witness the fuckery :( It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

And we all thought Rubio was the robot.

Both Trump and Bernie are laughably bad general election candidates. There is a massive oppo cache for both of them. Trump's rhetoric, and Sanders' socialism. Hillary is the only strong GE candidate, and from GOP side, Kasich is.

You would betray your king?

I'm joking of course. :P I'm still a bit disappointed that another Bernie supporter has given up on him, though. :(

Add in a dash of Wall Street and ya got it

Haha what?

So they should just throw in the towel? Why would them wanting him to have a chance annoy you? That's sounds incredibly childish.

I'm not on facebook, so I don't care what they post there?

It's annoying because it looks bloody stupid pretending he has a chance to win, when he clearly doesn't. People completely ignoring logic and math.

It's not them wanting him to have a chance, it's think he has one.

That's childish.

How many guaranteed delegates does Trump have? Doesn't he have a bunch of Delegates who were elected with the assumption they were supporting Trump (like in Pennsylvania).

She's got an FBI indictment hanging over her head right now and Dems are still voting for her!

She could literally shoot someone on 5th Avenue and her support wouldn't drop.

Hillary 2020!

What exactly is annoying, might I ask? People who you disagree with celebrating the victory of their prefered candidate? Why is that annoying?

I agree with you there. I may be on the side of Clinton now, but some of the attitudes of the loudest Hillary supporters really turns me away. I've enjoyed Bernie's chance at President, he had every right to try and go for it and quite frankly he still has the right to fight to the end, regardless if some simple minded Bernie supporters have salt or post stupid things on their fb wall.

Sorry if I offended you, but I think Bernie fans tend to be a bit overzealous in my experience, moreso than supporters of other candidates.

I think you did the same thing last week with Connecticut. You really need to be more mindful of different counties reporting at different rates before making predictions.

I think I also said it in Michigan too and a ton of you guys were saying "wait for the other counties". You guys don't always know how they'll go!

"Yay Bernie won" isn't really saying he has a chance. The fact that some are conflating the two and letting it get to them is both interesting and telling.

It's cool, man. Wasn't really offended. You're right about that though. Many Bernie supporters are insanely zealous. I can understand why it might cross some as excessive or grating.

Think of it this way; at this stage, Bernie is like a Fist of the North Star mook who's already been hit by Kenshiro and told he's already dead. But instead of exploding, he spends the next 20 episodes following Ken around and yelling he's going to beat him this time
